Hey all, Longtime lurker here—been quietly reading posts on this sub for years, but I randomly felt compelled to write this after a bit of a personal breakthrough in-game. Maybe it'll help someone else who's been stuck in the same cycle I was. I’ve been playing Counter-Strike since 2001 (yes, I’m old), and over the years I’ve used more mice than I can count—definitely a bit of a mouse whore. My hands are fairly large (19.5 x 11 cm), but for some reason, I’ve always gravitated toward smaller mice. Let’s rewind for a second… My earliest memories were with that classic white Logitech Optical Mouse—didn’t take gaming too seriously back then, but I remember it being on the smaller side, and I guess that stuck. When I started getting more serious, I switched to the Microsoft Intellimouse 3.0 and that was honestly my golden era. My aim felt crisp, clutch plays were regular, and I never thought much about the mouse—it just worked. After that, I fell back into the small mouse rabbit hole: SteelSeries Kinzu, Razer Diamondback, etc. I still held my own, but I noticed something: I sucked with the AWP. I just accepted it—"Guess I’m not an AWPer." Eventually landed on the EC2-A for a long stretch. Never quite regained that 1.6-era magic, but I chalked it up to aging, life, priorities shifting… all that stuff. I kept going with small mice anyway—FK2, MM710, MM720 (honestly loved that one for pure comfort), and most recently the MM712. From 2017 to now, I’ve been on and off with CS. I’ll grind for a few months, then disappear for a while. Recently jumped back in and found my MM712’s sensor acting up. I had a few backups lying around, including an old Glorious Model D wired—a mouse I never gave much time because it was big, and hey, I’m a “small mouse guy,” right? Wrong. I booted it up, played a few DMs, and… damn. My aim felt locked in. Tapping was on point. I had way more control than I ever did with smaller mice. That “floating” feeling from smaller shapes? Gone. Micro-adjustments that used to mess up my spray? Gone. This thing just plants itself in my hand like a brick, and suddenly I’m palm gripping again like it’s 2005. Even the AWP, which I’ve always struggled with, started clicking—literally. Shots are connecting more than ever. For years I told myself, “I’m just not an AWPer,” but maybe I just never had the right tool in my hand. It made me realize: I’ve been prioritizing what feels comfortable over what actually performs best for me. The EC2 probably should’ve been an EC1. Who knows, maybe I’d be lifting a trophy at Katowice by now /s. I’ve had my eye on the Vaxee E1, but it’s more in line with the EC2 size—and now I’m thinking I’ve been going too small for too long. Might be time to go full circle and pick up the EC1-DW instead. I’m finally starting to understand that bigger might just be better… at least for my hands and how I play. Has anyone else experienced this? TL;DR: Big-hand guy who loved small mice realized he was nerfing his own aim for years. Turns out comfort doesn’t always equal performance. RIP to all that lost ELO.

I use the Glorious Model O mouse (trigger warning if you have trypophobia because it's those honeycomb hole designed mouse) It's on the smaller side and fits me nicely! I'm 5', just so you get an idea of how small my hands are lol. I'm not too sure if it's under 40 USD tho. I bought mine for 50AUD. Razer mouse ain't too bad either. They got some small ones and have some cheaper options.

Cps really doesn’t matter as much as some people make it out to be, it’s almost always more effective to improve in other areas before you annihilate your aim to get higher cps. That said the glorious model O is largely regarded as the best all around mouse for Minecraft. I can’t find much about the model O- but it seems to just be more compact and the Amazon page says it has click speed options so I’d assume that it can drag click. Also drag click does not stand for dragon click it’s just the verb.

Dareu a980. _ 3 buttons. Glorious model i (the wireless one is better QC wise). _ 4 buttons. Keychron M7 (M6 has very weird sensor behaviour for unknown reasons, so don't get it, wait for reviews on the M5 first if you want the M6). _ 3 buttons. Swiftpoint Tracer (or Creator or Z2). _ 8 buttons + analog main buttons (Z2 has motion controls). (Discontinued, but old stock is still here and there) Roccat/Turtle Beach kone XP air. _ 7 buttons + scroll tilt. (If you're prepared for fighting Steelseries software, saving the keybinds to the on-board memory, disabling Steelseries software entirely, and then controlling the RGB with OpenRGB) the Steelseries Aerox 9 is mostly ok, not the best ergonomics though and easily the worst performance and weight of all of these. _ 12 buttons + scroll tilt.

Scroll Wheel does what it wants now though * Razer Deathadder V3 hyperspeed - Most comfortable out of the 3 but hump was a bit too far foward. * Glorious Model o - Felt super flat and wide, wasnt a bad mouse though I really haven't been looking at any mice recently so I don't really know what new or top in the game right now. Preferably a mouse like the Lamzu Atlantis Mini would be best or a Ergo mouse like the deathadder v3 hyperspeed size but with a hump farther back. Thanks in advance, everyone have a good one.

They had a stint where some Valorant pros, etc were using them. I’ve owned a couple different versions of the Model D and I really like the mouse but they’ve had a shorter lifespan than my previous Steelseries ever did. I’ve stuck with them because I really like the way it fits my hand but I think it’s a little too light at the expense of some rigidity that can see a lot of people being frustrated with.

I had a Razer Viper v2 Pro and its scrollwheel failed. It kept inputting scrolls in random directions any time I touched the wheel. Something similar happened with my Superlight before that... and my Glorious Model O before that... and my G502 before that (wheel lost all its steps)... and the Pulsar X2H eS I have now is double inputting middle mouse button clicks. I guess using middle mouse to open and close tabs isn't recommended.

Honestly your best bet is to look into something like the G502 X or glorious model I and kinda meet in the middle. I was looking into mmo mice recently and most of them are pretty outdated design wise at this point and feel very stuck in the 2010s compared to newer mice. The Aerox 9 is probably the most up to date version but the side buttons aren't tilted which can make them hard to tell apart while playing which is kinda important. Personally, I'd just recommend setting up your keyboard binds "properly" and get a normal 2 sidebutton mouse but that's just me. MMO mice are pretty unnecessary unless you have some accessibility problems to consider.

Hello, I was in the same boat as you around 4 years ago. Wanted to keep it cheap, and did not care about rgb. I personally found that while keyboard is not insanely important. Mousepad, mouse, and monitor hz is the number 1 things preventing your skill in whatever fps game you play. I say if you invest in a solid mouse (ideally above $30) you can use that mouse for however many years you would like assuming you researched the truth of it. I gravitated towards the Glorious Model O 4 years ago, and just recently ordered the Op1 8k (easily one of the best mouse on the market). As for keyboard I am not familiar, I went ahead and purchased an easy mechanical keyboard. If I were to suggest, Op1 8k, but that is at $85.

Aggressive claw grip with a medium size hand. My fingertips and the base of my palm are the only contact points. The gpx2 feels too low and flat for me. I have to claw and grip really hard to get control over it, which builds tension and causes me extreme hand fatigue over a session. I felt way more natural and stable on something like the Glorious Model D, probably because of the higher hump and wider grip area that supports my hand better.

Naturally, im on the lookout for a new gaming mouse. **This is what i have tried and what i prefered in order:** 1. Deathadder v2 (Can't remember why i liked it so much, but it felt nice in my hand) 2. Glorious model O (This is the mouse i performed the best with, but i have no idea why) 3. Deathadder v3 (I like everything except that it feels kinda "high" for some reason, it might be because of the hump) 4. Xtrfy M42 RGB (Didn't like this one at all, it felt way too tiny) **My hand dimensions and grip:** 18.5 cm length, 8.5 cm width Relaxed claw/palm Any recommendations? Ideally not something that costs more than a tiny car.

Model O is decent ig, but just remember that a mouse won't make you a god at pvp.

The Glorious Model O and O- have been great for me for 1.8.9 and I think the Akitsu or the IPI Float would work well (or better? upgraded sensors, weight etc). Mostly ftip + palm when I wanted to double click so if that suits your playstyle I would recommend ^_^

Try a Logitech g502 or a razor viper v3 huge mice compared to those or even a glorious model D which is the model O but with a bigger hump for more palm coverage

Biggest misconception about the G502 is that it's made for large hands. While it works for some; myself included cannot use it. It's too damn narrow at the grip. My buddy with slightly smaller hands performs extremely well with it. If you fancy spending a little $$$ for a long term mouse, I recommend the Zowie EC line. Ergo shape, very large, around 70-80g, no extra software needed. I myself searched all over for a good mouse that fit my hand, went through about 40 different mice, and ended up on the "Zowie EC1-CW". I wanted large, not 100g, wireless, don't care for RGB, and more modern performance (negligible), and no additional programs needed to change mouse settings. Another few mice I enjoyed (though heavy) was the Razer Naga, Corsair M65, and (not heavy) G Pro Wireless / Superlight, and Glorious Model D. My hands are 8.25 x 4.5 (If I remember correctly). And I can totally palm the EC1-CW comfortably. It's literally a perfect fit for my hand. They also have different sizes of the same mouse. Also take grip style into account. I'm more a hybrid of Palm/claw. Width was the biggest killer for most mice from my experience. Anything under 63mm grip area width gave me cramps in my hand

Yes this is easily top 3 in this price range. Check between the O and the O-, the minus is smaller and a bit lighter but they're both great choices Only thing I dislike is the honeycomb pattern that collects all your dead skin

More like user issue to me. Some people out there are just bad and doesn’t take care of things. If you take care of something, It’ll take care of you. Stay away from Logitech and Steelseries. My glorious O is 5 years old now. I had my Benq Zowie for more than a decade and I still use it. Still have my Deathadder, Mamba, Spectre and Naga throughout the years. Zowie is always been my mouse and I bought one from 2022. I use my 10+ year old on my laptop.

The only small gaming mouse I can think of is the glorious model o-and d-. I've owned one and it's decent, but I've heard that quality control can be a bit iffy. I was lucky and had 2 that worked great

Been using a Kone Air Pro for almost 2 years now and love it. They make a corded version you can buy on amazon from the manufacturer direct as well for less than 40 and on sale recently was 21.99 (turtle beach as they have dropped the Roccat line branding though they have always been the actual makers/owners). Logitech has wheel and button click issues these days and it drives many of us nuts. The G502 is abysmal for everyday use with the cord. and both wireless and corded suffer from the pointed left and right mouse pad clickers. Feels like cheap garbage and honestly has no reason to be like that at all imho. YMMV SteelSeries used to make some very affordable mid tier mice that were fairly competitive and had basic but functional software for tuning them. I owned the Rival 3, 1st gen and it was a good one until it died just 7mo into it. At the time it was a $99 dollar mouse. The new versions are redone but have not used them. They do a some theme branded stuff for high dollar, Diablo 4/ WoW etc. for 149.99 if you are into that stuff. Glorius Model D is as good and you can by them refurbished to new for 15.99 on amazon direct from manufacturer. Actually very good for FPS /Shooter games. Not as good as the Model O but for the price very hard to beat. Lots of other high end and boutique gaming mice but i am a bit frugal unless the product is just superior for durability/function many are also quite good. If you have a best-buy, or Micro center or similar place with mice on display to use and feel i suggest that, it can help a great deal. good luck Cheers!

> like everything except that it feels kinda "high" for some reason It is, its curvature also is the same as on the V2/3G, giving it imo too much volume and making the hump too aggressive, also strongly slanted in an effort to be ergonomic, but to me at least it doesnt work out. >Glorious model O (This is the mouse i performed the best with, but i have no idea why) Then i would suggest to just stick with it, other option i would recommend is the EC1, which also is tall(but lower than DA V2) but got a soft hump, expensive though.

Ah a 6'5" man with big ass hands I found two mice that fit my hand nicely. The glorious model D is great and very light weight and pretty good on price and my current mouse is the Logitech g502 x Plus and it's absolutely amazing. Razor makes some decent bigger mice but they are using old lasers in the mouse that are definitely outdated. Look for a mouse with a pixart Lazer and you'll have a good time 🤟
