Been with a UTechSmart Venus since 2016. It’s now at 40€ but back in time I paid 17€ for it and still working pretty good for me. I wanted a Corsair Scimitar back then but was just teenager and didn’t have any incomes except for what my parents gave me so I took that one. I’m so used to it that I don’t know if I want to change now and it’s still perfectly working after 9 years

I use a UtechSmart Venus Gaming Mouse that I got on Amazon. It’s relatively cheap and off-brand, but it works well. My first mouse from them started double-clicking on left click after 10 months of pretty heavy use (6+ hours a day), I reached out to the manufacturer and they sent me a completely new one, which I still use to this day.

I also use the redragon M908 and I love it, very pretty, runs smooth, great battery, no issues. A similar mouse for close to the same price is the Utech smart MMO mouse on Amazon, which is almost identical to the red dragon one except that the top of it has a different texture and a different logo.

i use a UTECH Smart Venus Pro. it was a random amazon find for about $40 usd but actually really nice. i’m on my second one, not bc the first died, but because they came out with a purple one that perfectly matches my setup 😂 old one is now used by my wife. i’ve probably put in about 3.5k hours in xiv between the two and no signs of issues yet. i have the wireless version; can be used plugged in as well (i often plug in to charge and keep playing lmao)

As with other comments, I was also coming to mention the UTECH Venus. There is a wired one for about $30 or wireless for $40 and not only does it have the 12 mouse buttons, it has quick dpi buttons by the scroll wheel to increase or decrease on the fly. Also if you go with the wired version there is a section to add or remove little weights to adjust the feel of moving the mouse. I’ve been using them for the better part of 8yrs and have 3 now. One was an eventual upgrade to from wired to wireless and an additional one to use at work (i work with alot of numbers and in just so used to using it)

The materials are different (the utechsmart venus has a more "rubbery" material and Redragon m908 is more "plasticky" material) and the utechsmartvenus is a little smaller and a little lighter. There's also another difference I dunno how to explain. Otherwise yeah they're identical

Actually, there is the UtechSmart Venus mouse that was before the Redragon one. I have been using the Utech one since 2017 and when Redragon came out with theirs I tried it and I like the Utech one way more as it was more grippy and the Redragon one was very glossy and slippery but other than that they're basically the same, even the program (at the time) was the same, but they literally just switched logos. EDIT: Actually looking more, now Redragon has a 16 button side mouse... i always wanted more than 12 buttons... but it is $50...

I don't use an mmo mouse for BDO but I do use it for my other mmos that require me to use lots of buttons with a hotbar. For that I really recommend this one. It has a certain texture on the practice that keeps the thing from getting giga slippery or such overtime. It's almost like a light sandpaper. It feels extremely nice to use. https://www.amazon.com/UtechSmart-transmission-technology-Ergonomic-programmable/dp/B07XP4K152/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?crid=D746H810IXOW&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9._MbtjPYj9yIW2gLI8ur-IOxumI2tuMQdpU8zxRlaMNgq-QFcUmjHlKnR5ddc0seLfFiSQ7WRYKthnqtevNMyra-uGtkNY9Jk261vrmD4-ZfOsNR6mf7tqIV3CtsanW-r6wSvNZZvi8SFDuJps21oY_cSI86ZgQY39F7pT0eOzokMjbpCii6OXsbeYYquc6nklaaBmb9U5ULkJukwF3ISDA.Zy4J4Mowy4ZMtZnsD-gwYWLIcJzdFoEdrnG1PkICwW8&dib_tag=se&keywords=utechsmart&qid=1744851089&sprefix=utechsmar%2Caps%2C168&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9waG9uZV9zZWFyY2hfYXRm&psc=1

I'm seeing this 7 months later lol, but in case someone sees this down the line - ditto on that Utech mouse. I had a terrible experience with the Razer MMO mouse and have sworn off Razer since. I bought the Utech because I needed an MMO mouse and that thing was just an unbelievably good buy. It's still working flawlessly even up until now. I do swap between mice depending on the game, so I imagine that contributed to its longevity, but it's still a surprisingly solid product!

You're welcome. I've tried a few different MMO mice in my time, and the worst ones were the ones with small side buttons as you were unable to really "blind" use them. This one solves that issue. The alternative is the really expensive MMO mice, where the buttons are all of different sizes and shapes, and spread around so your fingers can tell where they are and what they're touching.

Yes, it has its own interface program where you can set every functionality of it. You can even turn off keys, so that even if you hit them by accident, nothing happens.

I got mine online. I have no idea how much they are in physical shops, I just know that I've never seen them locally. I did find out yesterday that other companies have started giving physical indicators. Corsair has a few models with 12 side buttons where the rows are differentiated by one smooth, one with texture, smooth, and then texture for the last row.

It certainly does feel more tactile since you can feel the slant of the next row. I've no idea how the texture difference works. I know how they mechanically work since they work by touch, and there are many ways the sensory input from touch can be interrupted, while the slanted buttons work by stereognosis, which is the sense to recognise objects by touch alone. Stereognosis is how you can reach into your pocket and identify it by the form it has alone.

Came here to mention UTechSmart as well! I've been using their Venus mouse- it's great with twelve programmable side buttons, two buttons below the scroll wheel (initially set to changing DPI but I've set them to move between button profiles), another one next to the LMB (originally a double click but again can be set to whatever you like), and RGB lights if that's a draw for you. And the fact that it's usually sub $40 with sales and what not is very cool for me.

Yes I went to Curry's in the UK, where they sell both of these and you can try them out. I could have RMA'd my Naga's in the past but didn't think to do so as I would have been without a mouse. The most recent warranty expired in February so I just missed it, I've been living with the issue for well over a year. I went through my Amazon order history and I tried a redragon and utech in the past and the side buttons didn't give enough feedback to be spammed, they were far too squishy, so I sent them back. The Scimitar buttons also didn't feel as good as the Naga, and it doesn't feel great in my hand. There are also lots of reports of the scroll wheel breaking too, and looking at one in person yesterday I don't think it would stand up to me either. The V2 HyperSpeed has a completely different scroll wheel design and I want to see if it lasts longer, it also uses a single AA battery that I can swap out for a rechargeable one, so I get a wireless mouse back finally too. I haven't tried a SteelSeries yet, but I really don't think the side buttons on a Naga can be beat. The feedback and spammability are amazing and they have never worn out. Having great side buttons is more important to me than a scroll wheel, as I use the side buttons in nearly every game I play. If it breaks again, I'll be RMA'ing immediately, but it already feels more robust than the other Naga models, here's hoping anyway.

12 buttons . I am more dextrous with my right hand so it can deal with the abilities . My left has its own keypad with a joystick to use for modifiers and other things . I use a utech venus, (there's a red dragon mouse that's got the same hardware but a slight cover change) and a F14 tactical assault commander. They work very well together . The less time I spend using my actual keyboard the better , for disability reasons.

Utech Smart Venus has been my mouse for the past decade, great for MMOs, MOBAs, FPS, RTS, anything that can use a full numpad or a bunch of shortcuts/macros. Has a textured matte coating that makes it much less slippery than other mice too. My first one after 5 years had the 6 button stop working but was also the one I used with my highschool and college laptop so it was always in and out of a backpack. Nothing wrong with the replacement or the one I bought for CAD at work yet.

Software allows you to assign buttons and change the RGB lights. I also heard good things about the Redragon M913 Impact Elite Wireless Gaming Mouse. UtechSmart Venus Pro RGB Wireless MMO Gaming Mouse. I got it for $35 3 years ago. I would happily pay $50 for another one if it broke tomorrow. Extremely light, integrated battery(wish they were replaceable), USB c charging, full numbers 1-12, side button, dpi buttons, reprogrammable rgb or can turn off the rgb, low battery warning, decently good sensor. Battery originally would last a week of gaming sessions at full blast on rgb and 7k dpi, 3 years later it gets about ten hours on full charge and same settings. Will last multiple days gaming sessions with rgb off. Mouse software is easy to use. It's not the highest quality feeling, not the best of the best sensor but I love mine. I highly recommend it if you're looking for an affordable mmo mouse.

I used a Logitech g600 until it started having issues, then I bought some generic MMO mouse (utechsmart Venus) on Amazon back in 2018 and it has lasted far longer than the Logitech mouse. I bought a second one as a backup in case it ever goes out of stock/discontinued. They are not necessary but depending on how you set up your keybinds they can be. My left hand is used just for movement and pressing modifier keys (control, shift and alt) while my right hand is on the mouse and pressing the numbered buttons on the MMO mouse.
