Over ear imo 🤷‍♂️ Love my TM 2 x-DJs a lot.

r/BeatmatchHow do y'all hear anything through the headphones while the speakers are blasting?

I hear my Aiaiai TM2's just fine 🤷‍♂️. I have super sensitive hearing and just keep the headphones just over booth volume and it seems to work

r/DJsBest home/studio headphones for when I can use my monitors.

Aiaiai TM2's with the bigger ear cups are fun and comfy. 🤷‍♂️

I went the AIAIAI route as well. Being modular means that I can buy different speaker units, or headbands for whatever comes up. I have the regular headband, over-the-ear earpads and the Bluetooth DJ speakers and a volt yellow coiled cable. I also bought a hardcase for them to live in when not in use. It's been at least 5 years and they are still running strong. They sound great, have excellent isolation and if something breaks, I just order the part. No need to toss the whole set. 👍🏾👍🏾

i tried out the AIAIAI headphones for how repairable and customizable they are. Not the best listening quality but they do the job for DJing and if anything breaks, it’s like $40 for the most expensive parts

You can add (albeit at some extra expense) the matching large OE pads - they are perfect (imho)

Try this... You'll never regret . Only update the pieces gradually [https://aiaiai.audio/headphones/dj-headphones?srsltid=AfmBOorBO9qH-r-\_k1hW7m\_dNZlgkxSzDjzmq4AwInNL3wloQzc5MXTi](https://aiaiai.audio/headphones/dj-headphones?srsltid=AfmBOorBO9qH-r-_k1hW7m_dNZlgkxSzDjzmq4AwInNL3wloQzc5MXTi)

i agree with the iem recommendations. i live in the tropics, even the cables fall apart. nothing survives. before i went iems, i went tma2. because they were modular and replaceable. but the cables, band, and cushion covers fell apart. every year. the covers fell apart. if you get the alcantara bands those last longer than the leather ones only because the connecting cables have a cloth mesh covering. but i dont like the alcantara in my climate. i slowly started to swap out all my headphones with iems. havent regretted it yet. it’s been a year and only had to replace a cable so far.

You absolutely do not want hd25's then. Aiaiai is going to lead the pack as you can literally customize ever single part of it to your liking. Prolly want the tma-2's with the bass drivers. You could even go nuts and get the bluetooth to use with your phone or whatever. They use BT5 uncompressed and can go low latency if you want to use them in the studio.

I second aiaiai, it is modular and they are user fixable and have a good warranty.

Not for me. I hate how they feel on my head, they hurt my ears after 20mins and I’ve never had that much love for the sound (it’s fine but nothing that ever made me love them). TMA2 fit and sound so much better.

You’re going to get a lot of answers here because this is very subjective but imo I really enjoy the AIAIAI TMA-2’s. Since all you’re doing is mixing in headphones you will experience ear fatigue rather quickly using most options like the hd25’s. I’d recommend swapping the cushion pieces for the over ear ones and you’ll be able to mix in your headphones for much longer periods of time.
