It looks like you really want wireless, in which options are limited to what you're sharing. But, for comparison sake The AKG 240 Studio + an Inline boom mic (https://a.co/d/5zuKjZP) would objectively sound better for less than half your budget. You can upgrade to the K702 and blow any headset out of the water, but again - not wireless.

Out I that lineup I own the: KSC75 Moondrop Old fashioned Philips X2HD Portapros Sportaproa I used to own the: HE400 MDR7506 I’ve owned my AKG240’s for almost 16 years now and know them well. I love them. For 80 dollars you get an excellent set of cans. Hard to dislike them imo. They have a good soundstage, feel fairly balance and when driven and eq’d do alright, I love them for gaming at this point. It’s all I really use them for at this point along side the X2HR’s But tbh, they are all great in their own way. I probably use the KSC75 the most out of all of them. I’m still getting a feel for the old fashioned but so far they are really good. Fill the bottoms more than the ksc75’s. They are closer in sound and feel to the ksc75’s than the portapros

f you are looking for comfort in over-ear headphones, look for any model that has a separate headband for adjusting the fit, such as the AKG K240. Thanks to this headband, the weight is distributed evenly, and the burning sensation is minimal. Another thing to consider is weight. The lightest ones are usually made of pure plastic, but they are relatively fragile, so it's up to you to decide how much durability you are willing to sacrifice for weight. Finally, you have to check the depth of the ear cups in relation to your ears. If the factory ear cups have a depth similar to that of a Benyerdinamic DT240, they will be very, very uncomfortable to use, as they will pinch your ears all day, every day, so this is another relevant factor.

Change the faux leather pads for some velour and you're one and done. Love them.

AKG K240 studio, lasted me years. There are other similar ones. I think it's better to have a separate higher quality microphone and effectively train yourself not to scream into it all the time.. The Logitech ones are very good IMHO. Especially with the equaliser software.

> Sony MDR7506s, they look nice, but pretty pricey. They are $100 usd, decent professional headphones don't really come much cheaper than that. The only cheaper option I know which is actually good is the AKG K240 Studio. If you can't afford that, I recommend that you don't buy anything, use the headphones that you have, use *any* earbuds. I mean, if you are not doing professional work for clients, this is not life or death. Spending less than $100 USD on headphones, especially coming from something like VSX, I mean you'd be just throwing your money away. Tascam is a good brand of interfaces, recorders, but they aren't exactly known for their headphones.

Grado SR80e's or the AKG K240s. I have a pair of Meze Classics but they mostly live in the case.

My top five favourite affordable headphones are: 1. Fiio FT1 2. Sennheiser HD660S2 3. Hifiman Edition XS 4. AKG K712 Pro 5. AKG K240 Sextett (if you can score a decent pair, as they are from the 70's)

I'm offended you would call my k240s low tier.

Sealed back headphones are going to be bad because they will have bass resonances, and are usually designed to do so in a way which exaggerates the low end. It's desireable for consumers but not great if you are trying to get a relatively flat mix. I find the AKG K240 open back headphones are very neutral. I'd also put the Grado SR60 in the same general category of neutral open back cans. The Beyer DT770 are really good for tracking, but they have a notch around 4k or so and another in the low mids that will trick you. Stuff I mixed on the road sounded pokey and harsh on good monitors. BTW K240s are about $80 most places. Much cheaper than most of the suggestions on here.
