by far the best ones for gaming would be Sennheiser HD 490 Pro, that said all around I prefer Audio-Technica ATH-R70x or R70x Refine if you are in US as it's $50 less from closed backs $699 msrp Denon AH-D5200 you can get for \~380 shipped from Japan on eBay brand new, it's a step above DT 700 Pro X, DT 770 X and AKG K553 MKII which are all better than regular old 770s
r/HeadphoneAdvice • Best Headphones for Gaming/Music (no mic) ->The DT 900 Pro X headphones are absolutely fantastic. Before getting them I had used AKG K550 Mk 2, AKG Q701, and Grado SR325e headphones, all of which are great, but I like these Beyerdynamics most of all. The soundstage is not as wide as the Q701s, but it has far better bass response than all of the above and has great clarity in the upper mids with good but controlled treble. The fact they don't take much at all to drive is a boon, too. The clamping force is a bit much at first and can get uncomfortable, but a bit of mild stretching sorts it out. Now I can wear them for many hours without a problem. For around 200 euros the quality of these cans is just incredible. Definitely better to get a good pair of dedicated headphones instead of a set of gaming ones. There probably are some decent enough ones out there somewhere, but if you want reliability and the best sound quality for the price, then you need to invest in some proper cans.
r/pcmasterrace • Another „Gaming Headset“ bites the dust, tired of overpriced/hyped headphones. ->The Azurys are not good for gaming but the FT1 are actually pretty good for fps as I own a pair myself. But the 700 pro x and the k553 mkii are better. However, I don't recommend the k553 mkii cuz they are a pretty uncomfortable headphone
r/HeadphoneAdvice • Best Headphones for Gaming/Music (no mic) ->We probably have different shaped heads because I also have a small head and couldn't wear the k553 mkii for more than an hour. I was feeling too much pressure at the top of the headband. I returned it the next day on Amazon. I can't give my take on the JT1 since I haven't personally used them but the measurements online seem promising once you do a little EQ and lower it's bass a bit
