Bose sound so bad to me. Extremely comfortable but awful sound. Zero sub bass compared to the APM2 as well.

Fucking sucks. I was looking forward to the lightweight ones next year with updates. I really enjoy the comfort of the Bose and Sony, but they aren’t hitting the mark for me in terms of sound quality…Guess I’ll have to suffer again with the weight of these.
I have both. Take calls and work out with Pro 3. Deep work and travel for max
Between Sony and Apple, what would you recommend for noise cancelling headphones? **Sony:** I used to have Sony WH-1000XM4s. They recently broke, but I loved their sound and comfort. Their negatives were that I did not like Sony support. And they lacked multi-device connectivity. **Apple:** A week ago, I bought AirPod Max 2s. I like Apple's multi-device connectivity + Apple support. But the Max 2s are heavy. They're not good for exercise. They're too expensive/flashy to wear in certain settings. **My Leaning:** I'm considering replacing the Airpod Max 2s with Sonys. I would avoid the XM5s and XM6s because I see reports of a known defect where they break. So I'd stick with the older XM4s, which I'm seeing for $300. I might even get Airpod Pro 3s also, for when I'm doing calls and want multidevice connectivity. So I'd have both for the price of the Airpod Max 2s. A downside of this plan is that I'd be lowering the quality of the noise cancelling I get. Any recommendation between these options? Thanks in advance.
I've only had mine for a few days but for me the sound quality is far more than acceptable, they sound really good especially if you connect them via USB-C. If you're looking for true audiophile grade cans, you will pay far more, not to mention external DAC/AMP whatever you would want to get the maximum sound quality out of them. I challenge anyone to show me a pair of true audiophile grade cans south of 1K. The weight is negligible imo, I'm 6'2 about 185 so your mileage may vary. I have Apple Care+ because I pretty much only own Apple electronics, I find it worth it as I don't buy new every year. I expect at least 5+ years out of my APM2s
I use Apple AirPods Max combined with a hyper x standalone microphone. The sound quality is incredible as well as the microphone quality according to my friends. It’s seamless as well as it’s Bluetooth so you can walk around and also easily mute your mic. It’s my ideal setup personally.
Bose Quiet Comfort ULTRA. Ultra. Ultra. With the extra spend. I also love my AirPod Max's. They're a bit heavier but also nice. The Bose QCU are light and loud. Or put on the ANC and a 432Hz flow and you won't hear a kitten mewing beside you.
My AirPods Max died due to the flex cable issue. Cant spend that much to replace them with the same flawed headphones!! Pricing is insane considering the options. I bought Jbuds LUX anc headphones because they were only $60 and work incredibly well.
I certainly can, but I'm not prepared to spend $300+ on headphones again unless they are checking all the boxes. Airpods Max were the closest to checking all the boxes but fall short still in a number of ways
