I'm with you on the comfort and EQ actually. I can wear my 900s for hours, they are extremely comfortable. It's amazing what a difference a little adjustments to the EQ can do. I bought a pair of Audio-Technica m50x-BT2 for on the go. They have a parametric EQ. I asked ChatGPT to give me settings for it that would make them sound like my Grados but with bass. They don't sound exact, but they sound good. As far as my actual Grado SR80x goes, I bought the sheepskin pads for them which really brought out the bass, but I lost that musicality they are known for, so again, EQ saved them. Now I have extremely comfortable Grados with bass. Again, not sure if I'll reach an end game per say (I like the way you frame it though), all I know is I'm having fun and that's what matters.

Beyerdynamic DT 900 Pro X I have 5 other pair of headphones, all good quality. It's like an addiction, it's almost like I want to listen to the other five and appreciate them and get my money's worth out of them, but I just can't stop listening to the 900s. Right now I'm listening to the Audio-Technica M50X-BT2. I've adjusted the parametric EQ and am dialing in my preferences with guidance from the web and ChatGPT. I'm giving them a fair chance as I eye my 900 Pro Xs

Of the eix main pairs of headphones that I use, three are wired and three are BT (all three of them can be wired though). I'm at home most of the time so my daily drivers are my Beyerdynamic DT900 Pro x and 770 Pro 80 ohm. I have a pair of Grado sr80x that I also enjoy from time to time. For wireless on-the-go use cases I usually use my AT M50xBT2. I also have the ULT Wear and JBL Live 770NC. My ears aren't trained well enough to notice a difference from BT, but my BT cans are all consumer grade, that's what makes the difference.

I use Audio Technica M50xBT, they have a version 2 now. These are great, studio quality headphones with bluetooth. They're comfortable, sturdy, sound great, and have a long battery life. I prefer closed back headphones because I am a super loud saxophone player, I wear ear plugs even when playing alone in my basement, so this at least helps to keep out some sound

Bought my son a set of Audio technica ATHM50xBT2 headphones for Christmas. He’s set them up on his windows pc (win 11) and during use there’s quite a noticeable latency or delay between things happening in game and then the audio. It’s small but noticeable and inconvenient. I’ve checked with his current turtle beach headphones (which has a dedicated usb Bluetooth adapter) and the latency doesn’t exist there. My question mainly (because I want to explore all avenues before having to return them because there a 30% restocking fee!) is can I improve the latency of the headphones? He has Bluetooth integrated into his motherboard which is an ASUS b550m- WiFi II. Apparently this has Bluetooth 5.2 on board, but the headphones say they have Bluetooth 5.0 on the box. He’s connecting directly to this Bluetooth rather than a Bluetooth usb adapter, if I got a Bluetooth adapter would things improve?

r/BeatmatchWhat is a equivalent of DDJ-FLX4, but for DJ headphones?

i started with a ddj flx4, ath m50xBT2 headphones, and pioneer dm-50D-bt speakers, and i’m still using that same equipment to produce years later. buy nice or buy twice, spend the extra $50-100 to get stuff you will use for years

HAve a look at a Audio Technica M50x BT2. Replace the earpads with brainwaves velours pads and you have a decent headset that EQ's well, is studio grade in sound and doenst break the bank. The battery is longlasting, the micro is decent and it folds for easy carry. Its not the best at anything but good at most things.

r/BuyItForLifeCan someone recommend some headphones that don't break easily?

One thing I can recommend is that, if you're going for wired, make sure the cable is detachable, as it usually is a weak spot from all the handling over the years. As for specific models, I love my Audio Technica M50x BT2, that are Bluetooth but you can still attach a cable and use them in a traditional way.

Okay here are my two cents, you need to make up your mind about what you prioritise, the M50xBT2 offers quite possibly the best sound quality at this bracket in wireless headphones, they're very comfortable and they're built to last. But they lack ANC Sony XM4s should be at around the same price, they offer the best noise canceling at that price, a very muddy sound signature and an okay build quality. Also not the most comfortable. Sennheiser's Accentum Plus is literally a middleground between the two in most qualities, an okay ANC, good sound quality, good build and great battery life. Make your choice out of these three, there are possibly some stuff that I cannot currently think of but these three easily rule out everything else you mentioned in your list. Beats aren't worth their tag, soundcore and sony are literal basscannons that are even worse than the XM4 in terms of muddiness, bose I cannot really comment on.
