Audio-Technica ATH-M50xBT2 w/ Bluetooth and passive noice cancelling .I’ve got it while ago and pretty happy about it . Great for guitar , very good with bass , awesome to listen music and play video games .
I use the audio technica ATH-m50xbt2 headphones through a presonus audio box interface. I think the sound is really good. I know there are better audio interfaces on the market but my setup was around $$350-$400 CAD. For software I use Neural DSP archetype Gojira.
Audio Technica ATH-M50X BT2 are pretty good, I've been using them for both gaming and work for 3 years with zero issues
I'm with you on the comfort and EQ actually. I can wear my 900s for hours, they are extremely comfortable. It's amazing what a difference a little adjustments to the EQ can do. I bought a pair of Audio-Technica m50x-BT2 for on the go. They have a parametric EQ. I asked ChatGPT to give me settings for it that would make them sound like my Grados but with bass. They don't sound exact, but they sound good. As far as my actual Grado SR80x goes, I bought the sheepskin pads for them which really brought out the bass, but I lost that musicality they are known for, so again, EQ saved them. Now I have extremely comfortable Grados with bass. Again, not sure if I'll reach an end game per say (I like the way you frame it though), all I know is I'm having fun and that's what matters.
Beyerdynamic DT 900 Pro X I have 5 other pair of headphones, all good quality. It's like an addiction, it's almost like I want to listen to the other five and appreciate them and get my money's worth out of them, but I just can't stop listening to the 900s. Right now I'm listening to the Audio-Technica M50X-BT2. I've adjusted the parametric EQ and am dialing in my preferences with guidance from the web and ChatGPT. I'm giving them a fair chance as I eye my 900 Pro Xs
Of the eix main pairs of headphones that I use, three are wired and three are BT (all three of them can be wired though). I'm at home most of the time so my daily drivers are my Beyerdynamic DT900 Pro x and 770 Pro 80 ohm. I have a pair of Grado sr80x that I also enjoy from time to time. For wireless on-the-go use cases I usually use my AT M50xBT2. I also have the ULT Wear and JBL Live 770NC. My ears aren't trained well enough to notice a difference from BT, but my BT cans are all consumer grade, that's what makes the difference.
What do you think of the Audio-technica? Which model did the friend gift you? Just curious since I have a pair of m50xBT2 that I use when I go out and can't have my amp and wired headphones.
Nice! You have the original studio version it sounds like. I know the Bluetooth version of those that I have isn't as good, but it's still good. So I can only imagine how good yours sound.
It makes sense to want something more reliable. Your flair says IEM but the post says headphones. If I had a recommendation for headphones it might be the m50xBT2 from Audio-technica. They are reliable and based on the studio m50x which are said to be 'legendary' I have the BT ones I mentioned and they sound good. They have two types of EQ in the app so you can customize if they don't sound good out of the box.
It's cool seeing the DT 900 Pro x and the 770 pro 80 ohm in these. Those are currently my two favorite headphones for at home listening. (For on the go I like the ULT Wear and M50xBT2)
When at home I usually just have my DT 900 Pro x on. Lately though I've been wearing my M50xBT2. They sound really good when properly EQd.
Wow, thank you for this great, professional review! I have a pair of M50xBT2s which I know are not even in the same league but I have the EQ just right and they are great for going out and about. At home I have wired Beyerdynamic and Grado, but no experience yet with high end Audio-technica. Thanks again!
I personally love my Audio-Technica ATH-M50XBT2 Wired when I want it, great sound, great battery life
I love my AT-M50xBT2 i use the Bluetooth for listening to music on my phone just walking around and use the aux when producing
Audio Technica M50xB2 best headphones I’ve ever used
I use Audio Technica M50xBT, they have a version 2 now. These are great, studio quality headphones with bluetooth. They're comfortable, sturdy, sound great, and have a long battery life. I prefer closed back headphones because I am a super loud saxophone player, I wear ear plugs even when playing alone in my basement, so this at least helps to keep out some sound
