I have tried the px7 s2 and px8 s2 and today my 630s came in….quick answer is the px8 s2 sound better…to me it sounds fuller and the separation is better….the 630s are no slouch they have great mids but they did not have that “full” bass that the px8 or px7 has…vocals sound better as well in the bowers…the bowers also get louder not by much but they are louder than the 630s…again you wont be disappointed with the 630s but since I have the px8 I’m keeping them and returning the 630s…. Also…build quality of the bowers is just more premium…the 630s are just hard plastic…they don’t feel like a toy but the px8 is aluminum and Napa leather lol…the 630s do feel better than anything Sony tho so there’s that lol
I have tried the px7 s3 and px8 s2 and today my 630s came in….quick answer is the px8 s2 sound better…to me it sounds fuller and the separation is better….the 630s are no slouch they have great mids but they did not have that “full” bass that the px8 or px7 has…vocals sound better as well in the bowers…the bowers also get louder not by much but they are louder than the 630s…again you wont be disappointed with the 630s but since I have the px8 I’m keeping them and returning the 630s…. Well don’t get me wrong…the px7 s3 sounds AMAZING!!!like really close to the px8 s2…but the 630s just had a bit more separation than the px7…and the separation on the px8 puts me in a trance…I really can’t explain it…however my biggest deciding factor was the build quality…the px8 feels like a million bucks…the px7 feels like half a million and the 630s feel like they should cost $350 lol….
These headphones don’t sound good at all lol. They sound very artificial and unnatural. Everything sounded processed and fake when I had them. Only thing that was ok was bass extension
I spent 11 hours with them on my flight from Europe to Carribean. Never felt the weight, despite them being heavier than my Master & Dynamic. Probably better weight distribution.
Sound character is always subjective, sound quality should not be. To me the character was a bit bassy, so I use mine with a slight decrease in base to suit my taste. The sound quality is however the best I’ve heard in a pair of wireless headphones, especially using a phone or a dongle that supports lossless. The resolution and clarity is simply amazing and even tho I’ve had some intermittent connectivity issues I would not change my pair for any other right now.
My glasses frame is very thin, so I don't have an issue with this tbh, the noise cancellation is really good. But I have big ears so I ordered the wicked cushions, they haven't arrived yet so I can't give you feedback on them. The XM6s comfort is not the best, there's barely any space for my ears in there. Please note this doesn't mean they are uncomfortable, not at all, they are comfortable, but they aren't the best on that department, definitely could improve. If absolute comfort is your priority, I'd say the Bose have a better reputation on that category. On the other hand, the stock sound of the Sony's is not the best either, but the 10 band EQ makes a huge difference. If you have a bigger budget I'd recommend the Bowers & Wilkins Px8s2, they sound better, more comfortable, but lacks a bit on ANC in comparison to either Bose or Sony. Also consider the Bluetooth codecs and where you listen to music from
Yeah, I think he's right about the bass, too, but turning it down with EQ fixes it for me.
