I absolutely love my Corsair HS80. They're very comfortable and have great sound. There a bit expensive, I bought them when they were on sale . [Amazon link](https://a.co/d/1DzaTPb)
Nah as someone who has spent hundreds on gaming headsets and recently moved to just a quality headphones + mic with a boom arm, just get a good pair of headphones and a mic. The ONLY good mic I've heard from a headset was the Corsair HS80 (not the max, the max destroyed the mic quality). Other than that, every other headset has had a subpar mic. Buying a good microphone once would give you a way higher quality and you wouldn't need to worry about your microphone again. As for the headphones, there's a reason why old headphones still get talked about today while gaming headsets fade within a few years...
Fair enough, I think the corsair hs80 when on sale is the only thing I'd maybe recommend if you're very tight on space. The mic on it is just so good vs any other headset. Although for your gaming chair comment, I think objectively there are just better options out there. Steelcase, herman miller, etc, they're all way better chairs on the high end vs other high end gaming chairs. And if you're on a budget, you just get a used herman miller from a business that's either rotating them out or fell under. Many streamers only use a gaming chair when sponsored by them. But then once the sponsorships are over, they swap over to a herman miller or steelcase. You either get a gaming chair for the sponsorship money or the aesthetics.
Get a good mic with a boom arm and get a good normal pair of wired headphones. The only good mic I've heard from a headset was from the corsair hs80 (not the max). However those headphones don't sound the best, they're good for gaming headphones, but not good vs any other decent headphones. If you just get a good mic once, then you wouldn't need to worry about it again, and it'll sound better than any headset could. As for headphones, just get any decent quality headphones. There's a reason why old headphones are still praised today meanwhile gaming headsets fade within a few years. The sennheiser HD560s is great, the open back headphones help with directionality, it's very neutral with a wide soundstage, and they're durable. There are other headphones as well, this is just my normal recommendation for a decent price. If you have to go with a gaming headset, I think the ASUS ROG Kithara looks good but expensive. It's made in collaboration with a real headphone company. So it's a genuinely good pair of headphones, the mic is meh.
Corsair HS 80 has the best microphone I've ever heard on a headset. It matches normal usb mics. However, DO NOT GET THE HS 80 MAX! They used the high bandwidth on the audio rather than the mic on the new hs 80 max. The hs 80 max has a terrible mic due to the reduction in bandwidth.
I really like my corsair hs80. Dolby atmos is impressive.
I run HS80 which have virtual surround sound. I am often the one saying “behind you and to the right” to friends with worse headsets when I’m spectating. It makes a huge difference
I use a Corsair HS80, when combined with Dolby headphones it gives a decent spacial awareness. The HS80 comes with a Dolby Headphones license.
My Corsair HS80 headset sounds better than the DT770 Pro I used the Corsair HS80 for two years, and since I listen to music for 5 or 6 hours a day, I bought myself a DT770 80-ohm headset. However, the sound is muffled and seems to be coming from far away, as if it were a €5–€10 wired headset. I adjusted the EQ settings, but it’s still the same. Note: My motherboard is a Gigabyte B450M S2H. Since I don’t have an amplifier or similar equipment, I plugged the headphones directly into the PC’s audio port. The large metal plug at the end of the headphone cable didn’t fit into the PC, so I removed it and inserted the smaller metal plug instead. Is this the reason? Is there an additional product I need to buy? If so, what is it called?
I tried it on my phone and the same problem persisted. Then I tried it on an old laptop and the sound was slightly better; the sound that was faintly audible had become a bit clearer, but the HS80 still produced better sound. What does this mean? If I buy a sound card for my current new computer, will it fix the issue? Will the sound be better than the HS80?
Ive had the Logitech G522 Lightspeed Wireless for about 15 days now and I got it cause my Audio Tehnica wired m30xs were causing major pressure. I am prone to migraines, and have glasses, i even had bought different ear pieces and still no fix. And have a relatively just sensitive overall feel for things especially around the face/head. Ive charged these suckers maybe twice? I use them everyday. (Rgb off) the lack of wire is very nice so there no tug and the ease to even press the Lightpseed/ Bluetooth mode switch is very fast, it switches between my phone and my pc within 5 seconds. The microphone is almost if not on par with the Astros a50s ive heard? Its the best phone mic you'll get tho thats for sure. Sound quality isnt as good as my sony xm5's ofcourse but for calls it does the job, and Pc use like games and movies is a constant use for me. For glasses what ive had help is raising the ear pieces a little up, sometimes even over the ears by more than they should. Occasionally I do so, depends on how sensitive I am to pressure that day. 9/10 Friendly considerations ive used are corsair hs80s and their void headset. I only recently got a Logitech as my mouse is already and didnt want to have another program on my pc, also heard good of the mic lol and it was on sale.
Ah I missed that detail. If mic quality is truly that important to you, an understandable preference, then you will sacrifice audio quality quite a bit. If you liked your pc363d, then many people still praise the updated drop epos + pc38x. Just check to see if they dont have the flaws you mentioned. I recommend specific gaming headsets because these ones are not slop (neither is the audeze maxwell despite some flaws), but you're not going to find anything with your preferences because it simply doesnt exist right now unless you chip in more cash for that "audiophile stuff + modmic or dedicated mic." That's why nobody has responded to your post, my guy. Sacrifices must be made either with the wallet or your preferences. Now some notable all-rounders I've personally tried are the Corsair HS80, MMX 330, A50X or A50 Gen 5 (both have same tech and hands down the best microphone on a headset rn, but X has hdmi base station and more money). The Fractal Scape is pretty goated for the price, but I haven't heard the microphone yet, check it out. Honestly, if you want a transcending audio experience based on your preference then I recommend the HD 490 Pro (or any audiophile of your choice) with an affordable DAC, and a modmic to easily turn that headphone into a headset. That's a great way to get audiophile quality sound for music and gaming, while getting decent mic quality (subjectively).
