I think some BDs will be my next pair to get. I've had my Bose QC25's since 2017 and just replace the earcups once or twice a year but they have been absolutely brilliant for me with daily wear. I't's nice finding some good quality headphones, i've tried some gaming once in my instance Corsair Virtuoso RGB Wireless SE and I absolutely hate the things and they're not really cheap, the built in mic sucked as well. I ended up with just buying a elgato mic and kept using the bose headset.
I have a Corsair virtuoso from a few years ago and I really like it. I’ve seen a few reviews of the newest model and the quality is pretty bad now. Not sure if you can still get the older one but I would recommend it.
I'm looking at different headphones but new to all this and not even sure hear/feel the difference compared to what have and for what use them for. have bose 700 that enjoy using in the shop with the Bluetooth (woodshop). like the comfort and look more than anything. Right now there are a couple deals on some Sennheiser and I've been eyeing that brand for quite a while but never pulled the trigger. I'd like to use them for music, shows and a lot for gaming. currently use Corsair virtuoso SE and played with the EQ. would say it's alright but nothing amazing. l'd say music sound terrible lol. Tried my Bose for gaming and really didnt enjoy them for some reason. Comfort is something pretty important. I really don't like a high clamp force. I had Astros many years ago and they were the most comfortable, I really enjoyed them. HD 600 are 230$ off HD 650 are 250$ off HD 660S 2 are 350$ off like the 660S 2 more but that's all based on looks lol anything you'd recommend..or it might just not be worth it. Oh and can someone explain to me the need/use for an amp and different peripherals with your headphone setup? Really curious with what it all does.
While I don't reeeally recommend either for their sound quality, Corsair HS80 Max and Corsair Virtuoso SE are both comfy with glasses imo! The sound can be tweaked with EQ software but I honestly find them both to be a bit sub-par and tinny. Mic quality is great on both! The Virtuosos are a bit heavy on the head as they have a metal frame
I've been using the corsair Virtuoso SE for about 4 years now and my only complaint is that about 6 months ago they started just cutting out for no reason. Sometimes it can go hours without cutting out, sometimes it will cut in and out multiple times in a 5 minute window. I really like the VSEs because they don't look gamery and I use them as my primary at home and work headset, so they get used 12-14 hours per day. I did replace the ear pads 2 years in with some Wicked Cushions, but I assume that most headsets need those replaced about every 2 years due to wear and tear. I've been looking for alternatives that look as professional and at least match the mic and audio quality but so far all 6 that I have tried just did not work.
Did you mess arounds with EQs? Im about to receive mine and I'm unsure if they're good to go for gaming as soon as I get them. Heard so many good things about them I had to buy them because I was so sick of using my Corsair Virtuoso. I could barely hear footsteps in fps games.
