I've been using a Corsair Void Pro/Elite on both my work and gaming setups for years now, no issues. I really like them. Eventually the ear cups wear out, but you can buy new ones from Amazon for cheap enough.

I'm partial to Corsair Void Pros. They have pretty deep ear cuffs for my big ass ears.

No, gaming headsets aren't 'bad' and for several years I used Corsair Void Pros not just for gaming but for conference calls as well - and they worked just fine with 'for gaming headsets' damned fine audio.

Looking for headphones to use for gaming, Doesn't need to have a mic Would love for it to be comfortable for long gaming sessions and decent/good quality sound Budget is around $100, +/- $20-$40 Open or Closed back doesn't really matter to me as I don't really know the difference I am currently using a cheap off brand headset I found on tiktok - [https://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Bluetooth-Headphones-Surround-Retractable/dp/B0CLLJC6QC?pd\_rd\_w=4JENw&content-id=amzn1.sym.dafea5e3-21b5-4c45-a52e-b4cc1945c74c&pf\_rd\_p=dafea5e3-21b5-4c45-a52e-b4cc1945c74c&pf\_rd\_r=VPKRZQDF4M9Y47MBGZJR&pd\_rd\_wg=mtmHg&pd\_rd\_r=73d138b1-5e4f-4408-a074-b8e1045b3b28&pd\_rd\_i=B0CLLJC6QC&th=1](https://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Bluetooth-Headphones-Surround-Retractable/dp/B0CLLJC6QC?pd_rd_w=4JENw&content-id=amzn1.sym.dafea5e3-21b5-4c45-a52e-b4cc1945c74c&pf_rd_p=dafea5e3-21b5-4c45-a52e-b4cc1945c74c&pf_rd_r=VPKRZQDF4M9Y47MBGZJR&pd_rd_wg=mtmHg&pd_rd_r=73d138b1-5e4f-4408-a074-b8e1045b3b28&pd_rd_i=B0CLLJC6QC&th=1) Biggest issue is that I've only had it for about half a year and its already broken on the head strap and the ear muffs are falling apart It actually is pretty comfortable for what it is, not tight around the head which is nice and the sound quality isn't awful, decent enough All time favorite headset was the Corsair Void RGB, had that headset for 5+ years with no issues until the last 2 years when the battery just stopped staying charged and had to replace the earmuffs. Was thinking about just buying another one of those but wanted to see other peoples recommendations before going forward I did recently buy a Razer Blackshark V3 but am returning it as the sound quality on it just seemed bad? or just off, I don't really know how to explain it. It was also very very uncomfortable compared to current and older headsets, felt super tight around the head and the earmuffs hurt my ears, but that might of been because the headset was tight. The quality of the headset also didn't seem that great for the price, especially if you compare it to the Corsair Void RGB Anyways any recommendations would be very much appreciated, or if you think I should just get another Corsair Void let me know, thank you in advance!

See what audiophiles recommend in your price bracket. The only advantage that "gaming headsets" have is that most audiophile cans are headphones (no mic). So if you want to talk to people you may need a separate mic. I have an Audio Technica R70X and have been pretty happy with them. They're a little light on bass and pretty flat, but good sound stage and detail. They definitely benefit from. An external DAC / AMP but I did run them off of my mobo audio jack for a while. They are also super lightweight which is nice. For reference I had a Corsair Void headset before. Detail and sound stage isn't even close. The Void was also massively bass boosted. Ultimately it depends a lot on personal preference and the type of games you play. Some people play slow single player games and want to enjoy the audio. Some people play PvP games where they want to tease out every possible advantage.

Audio Technica R70X Topping D50 III Topping A70 Overall I like the setup. Huge improvement over my old (cheap) setup: Corsair Void headphones. Unfortunately it made the 1896 audio downgrade very noticeable.

I recommend a headset with a mic that comes down in front of your mouth. Things like AirPods (in my experience) or headsets without a dedicated mic usually have shit audio quality and let in a ton of background noise! I personally use Corsair’s Void headset but anything by Jabra is pretty standard in sales
