The X2HR are some of the most comfortable heaphones I have owned, so it also depends on your head shape. You mentioned in your comment that you're looking for closed backed alternatives. - The MrSpeakers / Dan Clark Audio design can be really comfortable... - The Focal design is really light on the head. - The Sennheiser HD820 if budget isnt an issue. Huge and light, nicely distributed weight. - The Hifiman products that have the floating / suspension headband, not the ones with single band. - Not a fan of the classic Denon D2000/Fostex design for my headshape, bad band comfort and weird weight distribution. - Audezes are also weird on my head, and too heavy. If you want closed back functionality with maximum comfort, howsabout considering IEMs? I personally love the Shure IEMs for long work sessions. I have a few of the SE215-SE846 product series, but the IE series looks comfortable as well.

Wireless or wired? I have Bathys for wireless and am pretty happy with them. You can probably find open box or slightly used for same price as new 600. Wired I go with Dan Clark Ether. With a good headphones amp they sound great. Also can probably find used at this point.
