I really like the epos brand, I’ve had the860t version and impact 1000. There’s a new yealink HA version that looks amazing for noise canceling. Checkout “headset advisor” on YouTube or visit their website. They usually have a live representative that you can chat with and ask for recommendations. Their youtube videos are amazing at showing the differences in headsets.
If you use iPhone, look into enabling "voice isolation" mode and it could work okay with any existing earbuds or headphones you may have. Otherwise, Epos Impact 1000 series is the best we've tested for your use case.
u/Fearless_Baseball121 is spot on. While some people get by with consumer headphones for light home use or occasional calls, from our testing and customer feedback they’re not ideal for your use case. Consumer headphones often fall short for professional use, with drawbacks like subpar microphone quality/mic noise cancellation, lack of call control buttons like mute/unmute/answer/end, spotty computer connectivity, limited wireless range, and no sidetone. For the best performance, a professional headset is the way to go. Surprisingly, there aren’t many top tier over-ear enterprise headphones out there. The Jabra Evolve2 85 is a solid option, though it’s not perfect. If you’re open to on-ear headsets, the Yealink HA64 Pro and EPOS Impact 1000 are a couple most popular choices for office use today.
Epos Impact 1000 is one of the best we've tested today. If you add the over-ear cushions its even more comfortable too.
Awesome to hear! Yes, the Impact 1000 is one of the best wireless headsets we've tested right now for mobile phone + computer. Much better battery and microphone then Airpods and comparable to Jabra but Epos has the edge against any Jabra headset in the same class we've tested as of today. If you go this route, definitely consider adding the over-ear cushions though for even better comfort.
For your use case a headset with a mic boom would be a better way to go and less hassle. Epos Impact 1060 + over-ear cushions accessory is populer for wireless or Epos Impact 860 for wired and saves a little bit of money. Or Yealink HA64 Pro would be another worth considering.
Yealink HA64 Pro and Epos Impact 1000 + over-ear cushion accessory is a couple best wireless models we've tested as of today.
Yes, this is possible but results vary and no headset is perfect. The Yealink HA64 Pro and Epos Impact 1000 are the two best weve tested.
Yes, it’s possible, but expectations matter. In busy, packed offices, the biggest factor isn’t noise canceling for the person wearing the headset, it’s how well the microphone blocks background noise for the person on the other end of the call. ANC doesn't refer to a microphone just as a heads up. Based on what we’ve tested, a few options that consistently perform well are * EPOS Impact 1000 for wireless * EPOS Impact 860 for wired * Yealink HA64 Pro That said, in very loud call floor environments, hardware alone isn’t always enough. In those cases, pairing a good headset with noise canceling software like NEEP can make a noticeable difference. From a pricing standpoint, you’re typically looking at $150-$300ea
If connecting to a computer, you want a model with a Dongle or charging base that connects directly to your computer for the best performance and reliability. Stay far away from connecting any headset directly to your computer via Bluetooth. Why? Because it might work fine today but not tomorrow. With so many different brands and models of computers, Bluetooth implementation isn't the same as it is with mobile phones (short answer of why). Here's a few best to consider. * Yealink HA64 Pro (best overall and most reliable with 5-10x the range of the other choices for a strong, reliable connection just about anywhere in your office or house) * Epos Impact 1000 + over-ear cushions accessory (best overall mic/added with over-ear cushions increased comfort) * Yealink BH74 (best budget choice)
This is unfortunately a category lacking. The BH76 Plus has a noise canceling mic but it's not great. All noise canceling microphones have their limitations to how much noise they can block out depending which noises you're around and how loud these noises are. That being said, a couple best we've tested as of today is the Yealink HA64 Pro and Epos Impact 1000. Both are on-ear though and not over-ear but there will be over-ear cushions available for the Impact 1000 soon. Otherwise, you can consider adding Neep noise canceling software with any headset of choice for the best voice isolation.
I have the Epos Impact 1060, and my 8 month old was crying in my lap, but my coworker was unable to hear her. We also tested it with my older 2 yelling and singing next to me, and my husband was unable to hear them at all. This is all without degraded voice quality. I highly recommend them! (If you do, the after market over ear cushions are a game changer)
I swear by the Epos Impact 1061T ANC. For microphone noise cancelling, this is an absolute beast! Noise cancelling isn't as great though, but that's less important
I have the EPOS 1060T and those are shitty when it comes to connecting to their USB dongle. Takes forever and battery life isn't good as well. On ear comfort is as well only good for like two hours, after that my glasses frame starts cutting into the side of my head. Besides, they look a bit weird on my ears because they get themselves in kind of weird angles. Those over ear cushions sound interesting. Which ones are those?
Hm, maybe mine has issues with the battery then. They last maybe 4 hours. Ok, I found the cushions. People are reporting that they destroy the ANC effect. That's not flying for me.
For me the passive noise cancellation on this headphone is pretty bad. With ANC it's ok. I noticed quite a big difference between ANC implementations of different headphones. This one here I find quite comfy, could just be a bit more if it gets really noisy.
Exactly this! Most of the suggested option in this thread do a fantastic job at filtering out the background noise from your *ears* but mist don't do anything, or don't do much about filtering the office noise from the *microphone*. There's a few sample videos on YouTube from channels like HeadsetAdvisor or CallOneInc that demonstrate how various models perform in this situation. You want to factor in both how well the headset filters out the surrounding noise and what the voice quality sounds like post filtering. Some models (e.g. Yealink BH76+) do a pretty decent job of filtering the background noise, but at the expense of audio clarity... your voice sounds very narrowband and rough. In my experience, after testing several options, I went with the EPOS Impact 1000 series (I went with the 1061 ANC) because it had great microphone noise filtering and the best (by far) microphone audio quality. The earpiece ANC is *okay*, but nothing amazing... cancels out some of the background noise but nothing like a good set of over-ear ANC *headphones*. The EPOS 860 ANC is the exact same headset but with wired USB-C connection rather than Bluetooth.
