Focal - Celestee

I owned them briefly and enjoyed them though the comfort didn't work for me long term despite having a smaller head. Stock tuning is better than most of headphones that I've owned. I think that I'd still take an Elex / Clear variant over the Hadenys for sound quality alone but they're just so clunky to wear in comparison... I'd have to think long and hard about which I'd keep for everyday use. Side note, I hate the Celestee, like one of the worst headphones I've ever heard.

From my collection: HD620S, HD25, Amperior, ATH-M50X. I prefer open headphone to be transparent. Bluetooth ANC headphones are excluded from the list by design. Special mention to Focal Celestee (very good but a bit nasal/shouty in the 1kHz region, not sure they are worth their price because if that) and Focal Stellia (very very good but a bit too warm to be close To perfect, but enjoyable nevertheless). Outstanding Closed wired headphones are quite rare in my opinion, in contrary to open headphones.

Yeah, I didn't like the Celestee at all either! I got them new as a blind buy at a 65% RRP discount from a dealer that was dropping Focal - and still thought they were poor and got rid of them after 2 weeks Interesting you had such a different experience on comfort. As i said, it took me a few goes to get the right extension on the band - slightly longer and looser than I normally would default to - but since I got that and the swivel locked in, I have been really pleased with their wearability.
