Not that comfortable for on the go
Considered it's just the Ananda and Arya but wireless, the bass will be smoother and overall better than beyer. Beyers have over emphasized mid bass and a big big drop of shelf in the sub bass, it feels flabby, and the treble is far from flat.
There's not many to choose from. Koss KPH30 or porta pro wireless, grado GW100X, all of which are on ear designs. As far as over ears go, all I can think of are the hifiman deva and Ananda wireless. A few points though. First off, open backs don't make for a good experience while out and about, both for you and the general public. Just get some TWS buds with decent ANC and transparency modes, so you can let sound in when you want it, and block it out when you don't. Second, I'm assuming you're wanting these for gaming since you're talking about mics? If so, none of these options will be suitable as Bluetooth has too much latency, you'd want a specific 2.4Ghz dongle.
Honestly, as someone with a vast collection of headphones, my recommendation (that I use personally for this purpose); airpods pro 2. They're comfortable (and I say this as someone who struggles with IEMs), sound good, have a very natural sounding transparency mode and great ANC, the case is tiny and slips right into the watch pocket on your jeans. As a full package, they're hard to beat. I usually leave them on adaptive mode, so it's kinda like walking around wearing open backs, but ANC starts to kick in once there's any noise worth blocking. Not sure on availability for the pro 2 these days, now that the 3 is out. By all accounts it's an upgrade in ANC/transparency, but some would say the sound and fit is a downgrade. You'd likely want to get some wired headphones for use at home if you're gaming.
At home, I typically use the HiFiMan Ananda BT open backs. I can wear them comfortably for hours and they still sound great. Def wouldn’t leave the house with them though, they are large and don’t stop any outside noise.
Which one? They release one recently I tried, Hifiman BT r2r, can't hold a candle to the huge soundstage and tuning of the Edition XS
For 200 euros possibly can do 560S or 505 from Senny JT7 or FT1 Pro from Fiio Edition XS from Hifiman Cloud 3S from HyperX (wireless) EQ to taste and you are set. Can’t recommend BD coz they blow my ears out but if you have to the DT 900 Pro X (might be over budget). Kithara if you can find at 200 is goated. But to my knowledge it is around 280 euros and still not b stock. Maybe a return if you can find one might be cheaper.
JT7 is the cheaper version. It has a different headband and slightly different tuning. I found it a bit spicy for my tastes at Can Jam. However, you can EQ it to taste. FT1 Pro is the older model. I have this one and really enjoy it. It has the 1-3K scoop and peak at 3K which allows for a sense of stage in games. FT1 is the dynamic closed back version. It is very good for music and has strong bass. Takes EQ very well and surprisingly good soundstage for a closed back. Edition XS is the entry level egg shaped planar. It has a terrible head band and peaky treble. If you can tame that with EQ and add a Capra strap, it is not bad. I personally didn’t enjoy Edition XS or Ananda series and own Edition XV and Arya Stealth.
I tried both but settled on Arya Stealth because the HE1000 Stealth was too bright for me. In gaming the explosions would sound piercing to my ears. I think Arya Stealth is the max brightness I can take. Even though graphs may not show the real difference, it was definitely not worth it FOR ME. The very minor detail retrieval was muddied by the piercing sounds that caused me ear pain. On Arya Stealth I do not need to EQ anything and run them stock with the following enhancements: \- K13 R2R - provides full details but tames ever so slightly treble compared to delta sigma DACs \- Dekoni Elite Velour pads - tames treble and adds better bass and mids definition that helps with treble I even tried both of those enhancements to HE1000 Stealth to no avail and sent them back. Was a bit disappointed as many people told me I would get bigger soundstage or higher detail retrieval but for my ears it backfired. I could not perceive the bigger soundstage and details were exactly the same to my ears. To answer your original question - Arya Stealth is absolutely the best headphone I have used for gaming (both SP and MP). I have had it for now 4-5 months and am super pleased by it after trying over 100+ headphones. I usually play COD BO7 and BF6 with it. Hope this helps. YMMV. P.S. I am 2-4K and 8-10K treble sensitive.
You can do a frequency sweep - it will be from 20 Hz to 20 KHz and figure out if you wince/or it pinches you at a specific spot. Even if it doesn't my limited learning has to be that I need to try it out in a specific circumstance. For example, I need the grenades to be going off repeatedly in Nuketown to wince at HE1000 Stealth. Other options is usually female vocals. I A/B tested Arya Stealth and HE1000 Stealth and for example in a song by Selena Gomez she was saying TRUSSSS ME on HE1000 Stealth and TRUST ME on Arya Stealth. That meant that to my ears it was sibilant and I could not hear certain consonants in that song (it sounded wrong to me). As I said, everyone is different so I am sure there are thousands who don't have this issue but among Hifiman planars, I can only use possibly Edition XV (I own it), Arya Stealth (I own it), Arya Unveiled (I want to own it) and Susvara/Susvara Unveiled. All other stuff I tried like Arya Organic, HE1000 Stealth, HE1000 SE, HE1000 Unveiled, all the Ananda line and Edition XS are too bright for my ears. They actually hurt me so I can't really use 'em. :D.
