Cloud 3 is the best of these headsets, alpha has more bass but u can aquire that with a cutom EQ on Cloud 3, as previous owner of cloud 3 (recently upgraded to alpha 2) i recommend them.
I work from home--my go to is the HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless. I wear glasses and work \~12 hours per day and am in and out of meetings all day. They are about $125 on amazon, sound good enough for me, and have very long battery life. (i typically charge them once or twice per month and listen to music between calls) Depending on your preferences, you may or may not like something about this headphone, but taste is very personal. I like my high end Audeze cans, but I usually opt for my hyperx or shokz due to comfort and convenience. I am in the camp of "the best headphones are the ones you use, that don't need after market parts, and don't require software." /// There are other options that have all of the features you are asking for, but they can get pricey. Check out the Beyerdynamic MMX line, the new Audeze Maxwell, the new HyperX Cloud Alpha 2, Steelseries Arctis Pro Wireless, etc. Also, have you considered a wireless broadcast headset? They are easy enough to find in most countries, durable, comfortable, and able to be repaired. (they don't look as pretty as normal consumer equipment and sometimes have non-standard connections--check em out, but feel free to pass as well.)
if you want the best headset for FPS get Hyper X Cloud Alpha 2. Plug and play EQ tbh.
just got the cloud alpha 2 and its a huge improvement for fps over the astros. the astros feel more hi fi; however, the alphas feel more open, and i can hear enemies exactly where they are.
I have the Cloud Alpha 2 now and they are noticeably softer than my Razer Nari Ultimates and all of my Logitech G533, 735, 935’s. I’m at 100% and it’s no where loud enough.
After using Pulse Elite for 2 years, i bought the Hyper X Cloud Alpha 2. The sound was already better out of the box. But with some EQ tweaks with the PC app Ngenuity Beta, it's way better than the Pulse Elite. Same goes for comfort. Going to the Pulse Elite after using a Hyperx Cloud Flight was a little downgrade in terms of comfort. Now with the Alpha 2, comfort is excellent and sound is another level. Battery is insane : one month without charging (using it every day).
HyperX is by far the sturdiest hinges and build quality. They have it figured out. I have the cloud alpha wireless and it feels like nothing I do could break them. They also just released the new cloud alpha 2 this year and has 250 hours battery (although not for Xbox).
