HyperX - Cloud III S Wireless Gaming Headset

Dual mode connectivity is fairly common for higher-end gaming headsets, but not too much on budget models. The new HyperX [Cloud III S Wireless](https://hyperx.com/products/hyperx-cloud-iii-s-wireless-gaming-headset) is pretty good (definitely better than a Cloud Flight), but it's a bit past your budget. There's also the SteelSeries [Arctis Nova 5 Wireless](https://steelseries.com/gaming-headsets/arctis-nova-5) (as well as the better [Arctis Nova Pro Wireless](https://steelseries.com/gaming-headsets/arctis-nova-pro), but that's way past your budget).

HyperX Cloud 3s and I wouldn’t think twice.

Checked pretty much everything there is on the internet, but most posts are too old now. What I need the most is it to be wireless and preferably have Game/Chat mix. I’m planning to use in only for my PC (for PS5 I have been using Astro A50 gen 4 for 5 years, they are still fine, but I want something new and better + I’m tired to take them from my PC to PS5 every time, so I need one dedicated headset only for my PC). So, out of all headsets here are my picks: - Logitech G Pro X 2 (not sure about the sound, tried them, Cloud 3s sounds better IMO) - Hyper X Cloud 3s (no game/chat mix and 3,5mm unfortunately) - Astor A50X (there is no A50 gen 5 in my country and + I don’t want to have 2 almost the same headsets LOL) - Razer BlackShark v3 pro (not a fan of Razer overall, but noise canceling sounds amazing) - Arctis Nova Pro Wireless (heard that it has connection and cracking sound, same as I have on Arctis 7 back in a day) I also had Audeze Maxwell and sold them, unbearably HEAVY, but sounded the best out of all BY FAR. If you have any other recommendations, please, feel free to share. For now I like Cloud 3s the most, probably. But lack of Game/Chat mix and 3,5 jack is what holds me back. I also have HD6xx and I love them, but I hate wires when playing.

Hello, I purchased a pair of Cloud III S and had this issue that I have been unsuccessful in fixing it. So whenever the headset goes from playing an audio to being silent(pausing a video or someone stops talking), I hear a static for half a second. The static is really sharp and can be painful to my ears at times. I otherwise really liked the headset and assumed I had a defective pair so I replaced it but this new pair has the same issue. I'm now assuming its a compatibility issue with my pc but I am at a lost with how to fix it. I have tried updating my audio drives and installing hyperx's app but neither have helped. Any advice would be greatly appreciated on how to solve this issue.

HyperX cloud 3s or wired cloud 2s are absolutely insane for an entry level headset. If you wanna go a bit more expensive, arctis 7 are alright, but I have always preferred the cloud II and then III. Extremely comfortable and last a long ass time. Cloud Alphas sound awful and I don't recommend them.

Yes in the end within the 200 the list you made includes the best you can buy, personally I prefer the hyper x because they have the longest charge life, but having said that they are all excellent choices.

HyperX cloud 3S is the best in class at this price point

HyperX cloud 3s is the only pick at this price range if you want a wireless experience.

If wireless is a must then HyperX cloud 3s wireless hands down. Don’t even bother thinking of any other options in my opinion.

Honestly HyperX Cloud 3S Wireless is good quality and has good features for the price when compared to other “gaming” brands. If that’s your budget then that’s your budget. The fractal design scape is higher quality but we’re talking a $80 USD price difference between the two.

Hyper X cloud 3, wireless. Very comfortable, up 120 hours battery time, detachable mic(mic sound is perfect), just bought them and I love them.

Maxwell is great but has comfort issues as others have stated. If you have the ability to try and return, I would do that with them. I have the Logitech G Pro X2 and can't really fault them to be honest. A quick search has the Logitechs on Amazon for $300. JB Hi Fi will price match if you use their chat bot so you can do that too if you like. They're fairly boomy in their bass so not the absolute best for FPS if you want to be a try hard, but they will serve you just fine. A bit of a cheaper price bracket is Hyper X headsets, which will probably get me downvoted in this sub but I quite like them. The Cloud 3 Wireless is a decent headset that is a bit cheaper than the Maxwell and the Logitech. I swear by the build quality and how they're just a "solid" set of gaming headphones.

Usually gaming headsets have a lot of bass and overall poor sound quality. The Cloud 3's on the other hand have a very neutral sound signature. Not that they lack bass, but compared to other "gaming" headsets it's a lot less forward. I think gadgetry tech has a good review about them on YouTube.
