I have your non typical answer: I had HD 800S, Mangrid Tea Pros, and other great audio equipment with a standalone mic. I actually sold all the high tier audio gear and am on a Cloud III S and actually love it. Gaming audio gear was always a meme and I am pleasantly surprised by how good the audio is for a wireless headset. I play counterstrike and it's great being able to run into the kitchen to grab a drink and know when the next round is starting, doing dishes while I wait for queue to pop, etc.

Dual mode connectivity is fairly common for higher-end gaming headsets, but not too much on budget models. The new HyperX [Cloud III S Wireless](https://hyperx.com/products/hyperx-cloud-iii-s-wireless-gaming-headset) is pretty good (definitely better than a Cloud Flight), but it's a bit past your budget. There's also the SteelSeries [Arctis Nova 5 Wireless](https://steelseries.com/gaming-headsets/arctis-nova-5) (as well as the better [Arctis Nova Pro Wireless](https://steelseries.com/gaming-headsets/arctis-nova-pro), but that's way past your budget).

I have the pro x2 lightspeed and used them for 2 or 3 years. They were ok. They feel pretty good, but the build quality isnt great. They have the swivel part and a screw would fall out of mine every few weeks. Also the G sticker fell off after about 2 years. Mic, yeah isnt good. So after having paid $250 and using them for 2 or 3 years I just went and bought super x cloud 3 wireless s Even out of the box with no sound adjustment, the sound is way better! I found a good preset someone made and use that. The ear cups made me sweat in these so I ordered wicked cushions cooling gel ones. I couldn't be happier with my choice to switch. The cloud 3 wireless is cheaper in price and better in sound.

Just got these a few weeks ago and love em. Great sound, build quality, comfort, and physical controls. Felt much more premium than the ROG Pelta that I had before then and the physical controls were much better laid out as well.

Guys just because it often goes on sale at even a lower price, doesn't mean these headsets are good. They are awful. Having the cloud 2 wired vs this, cloud 3 wireless sounds like tin can speakers. Their eq app can't fix bad quality, not to mention the ones I had turned off randomly and had pop noises, other user mentioned the pop noise was power saving mode that u can't turn off

I've tried them twice. I genuinely don't understand how ppl think they sound good. Theres tons of threads on this saying the sound is awful, first time I tried on sale, I wanted to test for myself, it wasn't good. I got a 2nd one months later and maybe thought it was defective the first time, still bad then I saw the reddit threads saying how bad it sounds. Its wireless so its always going to sound worse, thanks the the cloud 3s I haven't bothered because wireless just won't ever sound good as wired. Maybe it sounds good as a wireless headset? My anker earbuds sound better i swear to god. Other than that the hyper 2 wired are so much more superior that I bought since it first came out and still works.

I'm not an audiophile or anything like that, I just have experience using shitty dollar store earbuds as backup, I know what sounds like shit. When I played a jazz band, hit was very noticeable. The bad threads are from all kinds of subreddits. I just use the cloud 2s since 2015/2016,  I owned mostly sennheiser headsets before then I just remember asking a thread I made that if wireless tech will ever sound good as wired and the responses were unlikely, tech doesn't exist to make it possible / maybe working on it.

Hello, I purchased a pair of Cloud III S and had this issue that I have been unsuccessful in fixing it. So whenever the headset goes from playing an audio to being silent(pausing a video or someone stops talking), I hear a static for half a second. The static is really sharp and can be painful to my ears at times. I otherwise really liked the headset and assumed I had a defective pair so I replaced it but this new pair has the same issue. I'm now assuming its a compatibility issue with my pc but I am at a lost with how to fix it. I have tried updating my audio drives and installing hyperx's app but neither have helped. Any advice would be greatly appreciated on how to solve this issue.

Personally, I like wired earbuds like the Sennheiser IE200, but that being said, my bud has the Cloud 3s and the Arctis Nova Pro wireless, and I prefer the comfort of the Arctis, but I definitely say the sound from the HyperX 3s is better in my opinion.

The surround is nice especially for siege and games that’s sound is everything
