If you can stretch your budget a bit more, hyperx Cloud 3 s wireless is insanely comfortable and it has everything that you need. The only downside is the microphone is not that great. It sounded hollow IMO.
I haven't detected any hiss/white noise with my pair. I've used them with the ultra low latency wireless dongle and/or Bluetooth on PS5 Pro, iPad Pro, iPhone 17 Pro, Switch 2, Lenovo Legion Go S and wired to the PS Portal. No hiss in any of these situations for me.
I am using the wireless version with a dock, the volume only occasionally functioning, and the volume are still low too, and they got like 3 device on my pc. I know wireless setting is like bxtch and its not all their fault, but have no one to blame sucks.
After trying a few headsets (steelseries arctis nova 1 and 5, Razer blackshark) and even a wired headphone/mic combo (Sennheiser hd599) but hating the wired part and the mic in front of my face, I settled on a Cloud 3 Wireless. The Cloud 3 has a very neutral sound out of the box, and it takes EQ very well. Also the build quality is insane without getting too heavy, and the battery life of 120 hours is more than I will ever need.
Unlike what everyone says here, if you *really* want a gaming headset with a build in mic that is completely removable take a look at the HyperX Cloud 3 (or the new S version). Usually gaming headsets have a lot of bass and overall poor sound quality. The Cloud 3's on the other hand have a very neutral sound signature. Not that they lack bass, but compared to other "gaming" headsets it's a lot less forward. I think gadgetry tech has a good review about them on YouTube.

I think the older models fit a lot better than the newer ones. The ear pads/cups on the older models are larger. I got an old Arctis 1 and my partner has am Arctis Nova 5x and the pads on the 5x are so damn small... I recently got a Hyper X Cloud 3 and that one fits amazing. Really large and spacious earcups.
A fantastic review and opinion of the headset that perfectly matches my own experience with it. I’m also thinking of writing a review myself in the next few days, detailing all the nuances of using the headset over the past six months. The more I use them, the more I like them, strange as it may seem.
I guess depends on the game. I got pulse 3d, cloud 3, turtle beach 2 gen, Arctis nova 5. Sound wise Arctis nova 5 is better than these. Comfort + sound cloud 3 wireless.
Depends on what you need. If it’s footsteps, it will be a hard pick. I’m on my fourth headset. The best was turtle beach 600 gen 2. But never buy it. It have a chronicle problem with the microphone getting background noises. I don’t now the new generation. For footsteps I’m sitting on xcloud 3. For any other game…any choice that you pick top 5 on YT will be great.
Got them two weeks ago after roughly a month of looking up online and reading posts about gaming headset. I come from a wired razor one, super lightweight but always uncomfortable after a couple of hours, used them for work calls/gaming/podcasts. The 3s are certainly heavier, and the leatherette cushions are a crime, swapped them for two different pairs of cooling cushions, wicked and soulwit which both have their perks, none is the winner but better than the originals. The ngenuity software beta is meh, very basic but functional, absolutely hate the voice prompt that are too loud and not toggleable. And I clearly had some issues with the drivers at some point, my Bluetooth stopped working for mouse and keyboard and now I'm using all of them via their dongles, it's a bug other experienced but couldn't fix it and got bored of looking into, it's all working now but yeah, not ideal. Sound and mic are great, meddling around with the settings now I can have work calls while my partner talks normally at roughly 2 meters from me and my colleagues don't hear her. Clamping force is a tad on the higher I'll say, but many reported it adjusts, weight is also a bit on the higher than I'll prefer but it's totally comfortable for hours. And overall lots of youtubers and audio people way more competent than me report it's a great headset anyway. If hyperx were to actually sort their software it would be incredible.
The sound is paper thin, with a very harsh top end. You have to seriously adjust the EQ to get half decent sound. I'm not sure why people are going crazy over these headphones, I found them very disappointing, but usable after eq-ing. Very over hyped.
