I’m using a $99 Wireless Hyper X Cloud headset and I love it. Sounds great and the battery lasts for many many hours.
Been using various stereo headsets and gaming headsets all my life (yes, I'm old). Currently the most comfortable ones I own are a wireless HyperX Cloud headset. We actually have 3 variations of them here at home. I am on my second pair. Not for everyone but I cant handle the headset actually pressing on my ears. These cup the ear nicely so as to not put pressure directly on my ear. Not top of the line by any means but I have no complaints.
Best wireless headset i’ve ever owned is the HyperX. Everything else has been crap and either broken or just been generally bad. Especially Corsair and Razer.
I use hyper x wireless for my ps5 and I’m at a 22mm. They’re great, never had a problem
I just came here and asked for headset advice not too long ago- I eventually settled on a HyperX and I love it! I went wired because I often got wireless interferance on my old wireless Logitech- I can't believe how much better my sound quality is.
Yeah that same part has broken on every pair of HyperX Clouds I've owned. I had two pairs that lasted decent length, but then I just opened a new pair like 2 months ago and that piece is already broken again. I used to be a fan but now I'm searching for a new brand.
Hyperx clouds only because of how light they are. I work in music and have an amazing pair of audio technicas and even though they're not SUPER heavy, they really hurt my head during long gaming sessions.
Hyperx I've had mine like 10 years
HyperX cloud is a decent one, but the faux leather deteriorates in 5 years. At least that was the case with my first pair.
IMO open backed headsets make locating objects in 3D space easier for me vs. closed back. But headphones go north $ wise once you add gear like amp/dac, so here are some normal options. (No amp needed) Sennheiser HD 599 with their clip on mic - ~$165 if you find deal Price tracker included cuz you def missed out on holiday deals so you might wanna wait https://camelcamelcamel.com/product/B07Q7S7247 https://camelcamelcamel.com/product/B0FRVVG2JQ Philips Fidelio X2 i think works with clip on mics as well A step up would be like beyerdynamic DT 990 80 Ohms, those really plushy, but IDK about mic options, you may have to get a boom/clip on but if you wanna dive deep an amped set up with beyerdynamic DT 990 250 Ohms is also option. If $150 is too much, their are a few sub $100 with mics included I can find. HyperX Cloud Series can be found pretty cheap and isnt too bad. You got a TON of options tho, so shop around.
