Thanks for the reply! I haven't tried many full sized headphones or found one I liked yet. I had the audeze Mobius / Kingston hyperx cloud orbit s and they were disappointing. I have the pc37x and they're alright. Samething with the g435 lightspeed wireless, which don't have great drivers, but are tuned pretty well I think. I've been hesitant to shell out for another set of headphones cause I'm worried I'll be disappointed again. I've owned a lot of tws on the other hand and did really like the original momentum in ears, which are ages old by now. I didn't like the other Sennheiser in ears I tried which were even older. I remember liking some kipsch ones, and etymotic too. I also really liked moondrops older stuff but not so much their newer stuff.
I think the crinkling issue relating to temperature and humidity is just a way for audeze to not take the blame, i had 3 pairs of the hyperx cloud orbit s and never had any crinkling. My first pair of maxwell also never had any crinkling, however the right earcup randomly died over night, so i got a replacement and directly out of the box they had excessive crinkling that got significantly worse till i asked for a refund after 1 week. On the maxwell 2 they only have to fix the crinkling/durability and the microphone quality and i would be ready to pay 700€ because there really isnt much to improve.
I bought, and returned, 3 of the four headsets you list. Logitech was heavy and the mic sounded terrible. In ear sound good, software best of the three. Razer mic is mid at best. Software is horrible. Not that uncomfortable though. HyperX is the most comfortable headset I’ve ever used, but the drivers and software were so bad it didn’t even work reliably on my custom windows 10 pc. Current state of play IMO: only Apple has wireless two-way audio figured out, and that only works in their walled garden. Everyone else’s devices and streaming codecs sound like trash. So for gaming, I don’t do wireless. I bought: Sennheiser IE200 wired earbuds, Shure SM7b mic, and a Universal Audio interface. $1,000, but I’ll be good until the cables wear out, at which point I’ll replace the cables. I have the best sound money can buy, and they are comfy for 8+ hour sessions. My actual recommendation? Go buy a wired HyperX Cloud. They are comfy, sounds great, and you don’t have to worry about software. For $100-$150, you don’t have to compromise on anything except wires, and you get a lighter, more comfortable product which sounds better than the wireless options you mentioned.
I have the hyper x wired gaming headset and it is very nice and very accurate
I just have a standard set of headphones, nothing fancy, basic HyperX over ears. Plugged into the headset because the ear buds work for me but not my teens.
I love the HyperX….
