Hello reader, I used to have a HyperX Cloud Revolver S, I loved this headset because I could wear it for 12 hours and not feel a thing (and because it survived for 8 years of intense usage). Right now I have a Sony WH-XB910N but I want to sell it since the headset is just too tight around my ears and even causes my jaw to hurt when I wear it for too long. I've come to the conclusion the issue is the size of my head lol. I have really tried to get used to the Sony headset but it doesn't seem to be possible for me. Anyone else with the same issue that is able to give me advice for a new headset? I mostly listen to drum and bass, so good lows are a top priority for me next to the comfort. Thanks in advance for your answer!
I use the Kingston Revolver S and they have a suspension headband that keeps most of the weight on the top of my head and off of my ears so they're very comfortable with my glasses. Sadly they're discontinued though you can find them on ebay. I'm actually considering getting a backup pair on the off chance mine break, that's how much I like them. I've had them for seven years so so far so good.
As some others have said, soft cups are the way to go. I get headaches too if I don't have them. I also often only wear one ear to alleviate pressure on both sides of my head. I only wear both if I'm playing a game with proximity sounds and chat. edit: I have the HyperX Cloud Revolver S and it has been very trust for a few years now!
Bummer. I have the cloud revolver which doesn’t appear to exist anymore but I love mine
Best value for money is hyperx cloud series
Hyperx Cloud Revolver 9s. Unfortunately not sold anymore, but if you can pick up a box from ebay or something, it's the best bang for your buck headphones I've ever used! The biggest reason is the Dolby surround sound toggle. That thing increases the quality tenfold lol.
My headphones' left side doesn't work, unless when used with a audio to USB C adaptor with my phone. For whatever reason, it doesn't work with the split headset/microphone one, combined ones, or USB to headset/microphone adaptor. HyperX model number MSIP REM K98 CR I don't remember the regular name. HyperX Cloud Series S or something like that.
I have the hyper x wired gaming headset and it is very nice and very accurate
I'm by no means an audiophile, I just like to waste money on the next "upgrade", be it PC hardware, or headphones. However, I recently rediscovered my HyperX Clouds (they are "gaming headphones", but phenomenal for the price back in 2016), they actually sound good. I think I paid around £60 for them 10 years ago, I wouldn't be disappointed with them if I were dropped on a desert island with a decent battery bank. I prefer them to my mid range wireless BT Sony headphones that I typically use for travelling. My first pair of real headphones after the Clouds were the HD598SR, I only bought them because of the soundstage, and I was obsessed with CS:GO at the time. I was a bit disappointed with those, but the HyperX clouds were actually decent. I just expected more from a non gaming oriented product like the 598SR. And sure, my HD600s, Sundara and now Arya Stealth shit on all of them, but I still pull them out now and again. EDIT; Just to my nostalgic brain, the Clouds were my favourite headphone of all time. Not because they were great, but because they were such a leap over my previous £10-20 actual crap budget headset I found on Amazon because my previous one died.
