Is there any chance that you’re able to go up to $30? Because the HyperX Cloud Stinger 2 Core is currently on sale for that much and I couldn’t think of anything better for the price in a headset. https://hyperx.com/products/hyperx-cloud-stinger-2-core-wired-gaming-headset?variant=42982168068253

r/headphonesMy kid has small ears – what headphones fit? or is this a losing battle
about 1 month ago

Yeah, I uhhh... I'm not sure it's entirely having the tiny ears thing here. Is this for headphones to wear to school? We struggle with this every year. My kid who is sensitive to a lot of different things really has an affinity for goofy gamer headsets now. He wears a Logitech G432 to school now, and it feels goofy and overkill, but it's the only headphone he's had at school that didn't result in a bunch of meltdowns. You can find a used set on eBay for less than $10. We got his from there and I needed to replace the earpads, but those were only a few bucks. At home he wears the HyperX Cloud Stinger 2 Cores, which are like $30. For Xmas I got him Koss GMR-54X's. He didn't like them at first, but really came around to them. Got them from Drop, who is out of stock right now, but they get them back in intermittently. Also, I can't help but think it sounds like your kiddo has sensory issues and maybe you're struggling with it. It's okay. Lots of kids do, but it might be a symptom of other stuff kicking around in their head. Most kids just wear headphones and don't complain.

HyperX stinger core 2 is pretty good. My brother uses a Razer black shark v2, and i liked mine better. I use this for fps games, and mic quality is pretty good.

For something cheap, Acer Nitro K2 is decent at 3-3.5k. Great battery life & good mic, although audio quality is not great. Had wired HyperX Stinger before, that definitely had better audio quality. Still, its good for gaming. Sadly seem OOS now.

I have had the Hyper X stinger headset for around 4 years now and it still functions like the day I got it. Even the earpads have held up super well. before that I went through multiple Logitech headsets, each lasting about 2 years. The earpads started peeling around 6 months. My logitech G510 keyboard also only lasted 2 years before keys started to fail. None of these will last a lifetime though. Be prepared to replace every 5 years or so. Side note I have been using my RAT 3 mouse for a literal decade and it still functions perfectly. The paint on the bottom has worn off due to the use/friction but its still smooth and doesn't' effect use.

I wonder: how are "non-gaming" headphones in terms of latency? I've only owned a pair of HyperX Cloud Stinger and my curreny Logitech G Pro X (sniped for a bargain at Black Friday, before you start judging me)

I just came here and asked for headset advice not too long ago- I eventually settled on a HyperX and I love it! I went wired because I often got wireless interferance on my old wireless Logitech- I can't believe how much better my sound quality is.

Yeah that same part has broken on every pair of HyperX Clouds I've owned. I had two pairs that lasted decent length, but then I just opened a new pair like 2 months ago and that piece is already broken again. I used to be a fan but now I'm searching for a new brand.
