I’ve had a pair of Jabra Evolve 75 since 2017 ish, maybe a bit earlier. Just replaced the ear pads, apart from that I get a day and a bit of use out of a charge with great noise cancelling.

Jabra Evolve 75 SE. Stereo, mit ANC, hilft mir sogar im Home Office die Kinder „auszublenden“.

Hey All, Am doing a lot of homework trying to figure out which headphones/UC headset would be best for noisy environments? I currently have a Jabra Evolve 75 SE that is discontinued, which has been great, except that my ears start to hurt after a few hours of using from the pressure on each ear. I want to get something that is over the ear this go around, and will spend for what works best. Sometimes im in really noisy environments(getting out of a car, shopping, getting on and off a plane, train, etc.) and love how whenever I use the evolve 75 SE when I am on meetings and calls people don't seem to ever hear the background noise, and can hear me great I assume the Jabra Evolve2 85 might be a decent contender as I know Jabra tends to have a lot of microphones and the fact that the microphone swivels out seems logical, but the Sony XM5/XM6 seems like a good option too, just I wasn't sure how many mics it has and how well it does of cancelling out a noisy environment. Otherwise my older Bose headphones ive had throughout the years do well at noise cancellation but seem to do a pretty poor job of picking up my voice and have gotten complaints before. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you

That’s been my take and opinion on this too. My Jabra Evolve 75 does such a good job always deflecting any external noise and I don’t doubt their evolve2 85 would work just as well if not better. Thanks for your take

Jabra Evolve 75 SE was really nice. Till it quit. Poly (formerly Plantronics) Voyager Focus and Voyager Surround 80 are both good in open plan offices. We were assigned the Focus after the Jabra quit, and had an option to order the 80 series. Which, of course, I did. For straight up noise cancelling, I relied on my Sony WF-1000Mx3 earbuds. Which have surprisingly good microphones. You can score the newer MX5 now from Amazon Refurbihsed for $179. Never tried anything more expensive than those before I went full remote.

I can confirm this, just set sidetone to +3 or +6 using Jabra Direct. As for the ANC. It will still be present when you mute. I actually find it very useful because this way you can “feel” if you are muted or not. However, I can see where OP disappointment comes from, as I also needed to adjust settings of this headset. Coming from Jabra Evolve 75 to Evolve2 85 was pretty disappointing. Waiting for Evolve3.

I have a Jabra evolve 75 from circa 2020 that is still going strong. The newer gen ones seem good too.
