Best gym headphones by far for the price are the Jbl 520BT, Great sound, Cheep, reliable, not expensive to replace, water resistant and comfortable. otherwise yea headphones like the Sony WH-1000XM4/5/6 are the top tier headphones if you need the best of the best sound wise

Best gym on ear headphones by far for the price are the Jbl 520BT. And the best overall in my opinion are definitely the Jbl endurance peak 3. Both have great sound, cheap, not expensive to replace, durable (especially the peak 3) and sweat resistant. And otherwise yea headphones like the WH-1000XM4/5/6 are great choices but mostly for the sound. (Edit) A lot of people I know love the Skullcandy crusher 2, basically just the best haptic bass.

**Avoid these Chinese rebranded budget headphones.** Even the name *"Zero Lifestyle"* doesn’t inspire much confidence. I was considering buying them last week, but thanks to some solid advice from this subreddit, I decided to go with the **Sony WH-CH520** and honestly, they're fantastic for the price. The **sound quality is clear**, the **battery life is impressive**, and overall, they’ve exceeded my expectations. If you’re someone who prefers **deeper bass**, you might want to consider the **JBL Tune 520BT** they deliver more punch but slightly compromise on sound clarity compared to the Sony.

i use JBL Tune 520BT and they’re rly affordable and block out a good amount of noise but I do agree w other commenters saying that noise canceling headphones w earplugs is the safest option

Hey ya'll, been perusing this subreddit for a few days tryna do some research on a solid pair of newer headphones, and decided I'd ask directly. My gaming headset broke and I'm poking around looking for a new one. It was a wireless Razer headset for Xbox, and while I did like it, the band broke right above the left muff, which is a trend ny headphones tend to have, with my old ass HyperX's and my Steelseries 1's both succumbing to the same fate. With this, I'm in the market for a new pair, and this time I'm gonna be staying wired and getting a pair that work with my Xbox, PC, and phone (Android if it matters), just so I have 1 pair that can do everything. My current "generalist" headphones are a pair of JBL Tune 520BT's that have held up surprisingly well to bring used a tad roughly, getting dropped, slept on, and smushed in a jacket pocket more than a few times, but the Bluetooth adapter doesn't work with an Xbox, there's no 3.5mm jack to do so, and most importantly, it's on-ear instead of over-ear which is very uncomfortable after an hour or 2. So, to my request. I'm looking for a pair of headphones that are reasonably solid, are either hybrid Bluetooth or wired or just straight wired with a 3.5mm, have a mic, are over-ear, and don't cost a kidney and my soul. I know most of ya'll are against gaming headsets with mics but I can't exactly be carrying a mic when I'm out and about and on a Discord call. Price range is preferably under 100 but I can stretch a bit if need be. Thanks ya'll!

you might want closed back, open back means the back of the headphone is open, so all the sound around leaks into your listening, and all of the the sound/ music you are listening to will bleed out side. That means whatever gym music you are listening to the person next to you will hear it. I would suggest get JBL Tune 520bt, dispute the marketing on the box claims extra bass, the sound is actually quite neutral and well balanced for a consumer headphone

Do you have a price range? My daily drivers for years before getting into the hobby were JBL tune 510bt, then the 520s. Those are budget, coming in at around $50 USD. They punch above their weight, and are all around just good headphones. The 520s are compatible with JBLs app. Even now that I have a collection of higher end headphones, I still keep them around just in case. I can't let them go, maybe it's because it's where I started. If your price range is a little higher I'd go with the JBL Live 770NC. They have ANC, app comparability and again, punch above their weight.

r/BuyItForLifeanyone done an over ear headphones comfort comparison that isn’t just marketing fluff?

I have the ones you show in the picture I think JBL TUNE 520, and they are fine. I bought a second pair for my partner who was tired of the Apple Airpods I got her a few years ago. From a BIFL point of view, I have been using mine for 5+ years. I had to replace the headphone covers, but the pad in the headphone band, annoyingly, is very fiddly to fix so I just taped it up in the end. Overall for the price I think they are great. They are loud, seem to run a long time on a charge, and crucially cheap.
