i looked at the airwave max 6- they cost 6k i can extend my budget to 6k too but they feel verry bulky. im confused because almost all over ear are bulky and i need my headphones while travelling + everyday long hours. So it's really comfort with bulkyness or better look/size but no long hour comfort. My cart was like- skullcandy hesh evo, sony ch520 , jbl770nc, and soundcore q20i or space one. but everytime i go research on them, nothing feels good under 5k. either its too bulky , too outdated , poor built quality , bad comfort or bad sound. i had rockerz previously by boat but they sucked for long hours and even for sound, they would heat my ears up like crazy and the cushion wasn't even that good.

Bro I have JBL tune 770nc and one of my frnds has the song ones. I have used both and the build quality, ANC and audio quality are all better on the JBL ones and those are cheaper too. You won't get good quality in sony unless you go over 12-15k

Here we go again, this guy is literally reviews knight. Btw can't agree more, and from my personal experience I feel they even beat tune JBL 770nc in all terms.

**Spigen SAHP10** Ok so I watched the video full. And here’s my opinion: 1. At around 0:12 timestamp he said “apart from this weird name of this ‘earphones’, everything else in this thing is top class”, but I would say “apart from this weird name and ‘sound quality’ of this headphone, everything else in this is top class”. 2. Then he says that JBL Tune 770ANC < Spigen SA HP P10 around 0:24 timestamp, well I haven’t watched his JBL Tune 770ANC video nor do I have any interest to watch but I have used JBL Tune 770ANC headphone too and imo both JBL and Spigen are dogshit from audio quality standpoint. 3. At around 1:03 timestamp, he said till now, that means even after using the headphone for a month, he hasn’t figured out how to keep the headphone inside the case. Bro it’s amusing lol. I mean it took me just 5 mins to figure out how to keep the headphone inside the case properly and he couldn’t figure that out in entire 30 days? Bullshit. Just check the images I have attached in my post, you will see how to keep the headphone properly. 4. Around 3:57 timestamp he starts talking about the audio quality, and all he said is completely bullshit. I don’t know what kind of audio gears that guy has used in his life that he said vocals sound clean in the headphone. 5. Then he talks about Equalizer around 4:53 timestamp, lemme be very honest, no Equalizer can fix the audio quality of this headphone. Period. I mean I have tried my best with third party Equalizer apps like Poweramp Equalizer App and Wavelet but no matter how hard I try it’s impossible to make the headphone sound even decent. And bro he says if you want to listen bass heavy tracks then use bass mode, on god that bass mode is diabolical. The bass mode is so horrible that you will feel like you are listening to music inside a deep waters. Default tuning is much better if I compare to the bass mode of the headphone lol. So yeah I think I won’t be wrong if I say that @mrneontech must have been paid by Spigen. Last but not least it’s pronounced Spee-gain not Spee-Jen. Don’t trust bullshit reviewers bro. He ain’t no fking audiophile. Whatever I have said in my Spigen review post is word by word truth and only truth. Now it’s up to you if you want to trust a guy who bought it with his own money or a no name paid reviewer. u/LeAnarchiste u/clueless\_linguist plzz recommend some good reviewers who aren’t paid. Also add or correct me if I might have messed up somewhere.

Noise airwave max 6 are also coming and I'm waiting for them otherwise i have thought of saving money and buying either sony ch720n or CMF pro or Sennheiser HD 450 BT cause one thing is clear there's nothing greater than utmost comfort and sound quality in daily usage. And with brands like sony or Sennheiser you can never go wrong even if they feel outdated cause quality over features is what i have learnt over the past few days in terms of research over it. I know Jlab JBuds lux and Soundcore Q20i and Space one are preferred everywhere under 5k or 6k budget. But the actual reviews on amazon and flipkart and reddit shocked me because of poor build quality, bulkiness, wear and tear very quickly along with no physical store support for replacement or repair of pads or the whole headphone made me think about it and today i went to a reliance store to check headphones and there were only 5 or 6 headphones in testing stand. There were JBL Tune 770NC, 512 etc. and Boat ⛵ Headphones the 771 Nirvaana and the 551 rockerz. When i personally tested it with my android i felt one strong thing, even though JBL suffers from poor build and low average sound (need to.listen more than 75% volume to get the real JBL feel). but the quality was way superior and the bass was just balanced not too high or low in comparison to Boat headphones - they had bass too high and the sound quality felt cheap and artificial. It instantly hit me with that feeling ki even though JBL are on the higher side of price and are of low sound and a very quick wear and tear visible but the sound quality and comfort made all the difference. TL;DR :- Wait for sometime, extend your budget to around 8k and buy a good Sony, CMF, JBL, Sennheiser headphones instead if you are fixed with 5k or 6k still go for atleast JBL or Noise only particular models as they are good in sound. Comfort and Sound Quality is superior than any feature that a brand is selling in less price.

Wait for it. Save 3k more. Buy Sony WH-CH720N in 8k or less. Trust me. With sony you can't go wrong with sound quality and cushion quality comfort. I'm going to wait cause honestly nothing fits perfectly in 5k. When it comes to Jlab Jbuds which everyone suggests but the build quality is questionable (you can check reviews of people who bought it on amazon or Flipkart). Another one is Soundcore Q20i which feels outdated in today's day and age. Space one has again build quality and pads issue (can check it too). What i saw personally when i visited a physical store and i tried some headphones (not these exactly) - I experienced that sound quality and cushion comfort is above everything. With brands like Boat and Noise it felt really artificial no doubt they were loud and bass enough. But with Sony and JBL there was a comfort and a premium sound quality (no doubt they wear & tear very early only if not handled with care.) Out of Sony and JBL i found that JBL were low in sound and not balanced enough as much as Sony (this is when i haven't used Equalizer or any app - just pure raw sound). Sony felt comfortable and music felt like it should be in an over ear headphones.

Ever since I posted in r/HeadphoneAdvice asking about the JBLs some two years ago (would link the post if I could), people have been messaging me asking about my thoughts and satisfaction with them. If that was you, I'm sorry if I haven't replied. I got a lot of those messages, and I kept putting it off, partly because I didn't feel "qualified enough" to influence your decisions, as silly as that sounds. I'm really not much of a "seasoned" headphone user, so I wasn't sure how to reaspond... I also frankly just lost track. But I do feel guilty, so for all those who are still interested or will be in the future, I decided to make a post so that people could find my thoughts if they ever want to. ...for whatever reason lol. First of all, though, **BIG DISCLAIMER**: - I'm not an experienced headphone user. These are the first and only over-ear headphones I've ever owned (and obviously the first noise-cancelling ones), so **I have nothing to compare them to.** - I don't use them daily. - I don't usually have them on for multiple hours at a time, except for when I'm on a longer train/bus/plane trip, in which case I would generally wear them for the entire duration. The longest I've probably had them on more or less nonstop was an ~11 hr flight. But much more often, I use them for shorter periods of time. I'm still the kind of person who prefers to play things out loud if I'm able to. So please, keep that in mind when making your own decisions. These are only my personal thoughts and experiences. With that out of the way, let's get into it. I'll do it in section based on specific aspects and features. # Battery life For the way I use them, the battery life is incredible. I've only had to charge them a handful of times in all the time I've had them. And even if they were to run out of battery in the middle of a trip, that's not the end of the world because: # Jack connector I really love that they have this option. They work well as wireless, but you can also just connect them with a jack (which is included) without needing to turn them on. The sound is good (possibly even more stable than with bluetooth... which seems to make sense) and no battery is needed for that. It's also useful when the NC feature is being a bit wobbly - I'll get to that later. # Practicality and comfort Compactness is definitely a big plus. They fold in a way that makes them sort of flat, so they're quite easy to store and transport, they don't take much space. The controls seem intuitive and easy to use. The right side has buttons where you can turn on and off the NC/Ambient Aware, control volume, and one that does pause-play and skip, depending on how you press it (possibly even rewind, but I'm not 100% sure about that one). The buttons are easy to keep track of just by touch, you can find your way around easily without seeing them. As for comfort, this is probably going to vary greatly from person to person, but to me, they're quite comfy. They don't go over the *entire* ear, only mostly, so some bits of your ear will end up under the padding. But the padding is really soft and it feels comfortable to me. If I'm to wear them for a long period of time, I would probably take my earrings off, as that might cause some discomfort. Also, it may be worth mentioning that I wear glasses, and sometimes when I have to wear the headphones for a really long time with my glasses on, it can get quite sore there. # Noise Cancelling and Ambient Aware modes - Well... Without having anything to compare it to, I'd say that the NC mode is pretty decent. It filters outside sounds fairly well - not always to the point where you couldn't hear anything, but definitely to where it's not distracting. However, there are a couple imperfections, imo. For instance, when I'm on a bus, in a car or somewhere like that, the sound tends to... crackle a bit when it's bumpy. Idk how else to describe it. It's fine when it's a smooth ride, but when there's bumps - OR the same thing happens if you're walking outside and it's windy, for example - it does this thing, it's something between crackling and the sound of wind in a microphone, if you know what I mean. It's not unbearable or anything, but it can be quite unpleasant and annoying. Not sure if that's just a flaw in my set specifically or if they all have this issue. Either way, these are the times I like to use the jack connector, which pretty much solves it. But yeah, this is probably my biggest issue with the headphones, I really don't like that sound. - As for the Ambient Aware... To be completely honest, not a huge fan. I don't use it much. I love the idea that you can press a button and it will allow you to hear outside sounds, and I use it from time to time, just in specific moments when I can't be arsed to take them off and on again. Unfortunately though, in reality, it doesn't sound exactly like you took the headphones off, it just sounds like outside sounds and noises are being played in your ear through a microphone. So they're uneven and slightly distorted. They seem almost amplified. A friend of mine bought a pair of (much more expensive) headphones with the same feature and when I tried it, it did actually sound like you didn't have the headphones on, the outside sounds were so natural and clear. That is sadly not the case with the JBLs. It does the job, but it's not perfect. # Sound In general, I would say the sound is good (again, no point of comparison). I don't really have anything else to say... I'm not an expert and I probably don't consciously notice the small nuances of sound quality. It's not like I was blown away when I first put them on, but I feel like they sound really good. Idk, this is definitely an area where I dare not give advice, because I know some people here care a LOT about their sound quality and richness. # Price I feel like they offer a really good price-performance ratio. They seem like solid headphones while being among the cheapest ones of this kind (at least where I live). Overall, I would say they're good headphones. Super practical, compact, quite comfortable and they do the job well, especially for the price. They do have some issues that are worth considering. Hope that helps! --- EDIT (October 2025): So. To paint a complete, honest picture, I feel like I should share that my headphones unfortunately broke less than 3 months after the (2 year) warranty expired :/ More specifically, they technically still work fine, this is about the build quality - the plastic keeping one of the ear cups in place broke off in a way that makes them unwearable and therefore unuseable (you can find pictures in the comments). So, if you do end up getting them, just make sure you carry them in some kind of case or protective cover and are handeling them carefully. I tried to be careful with them, but granted, I only used a cloth bag to keep them in, so no firm case, and I would just toss them in my backpack without too much worry... Which could get quite packed at times, so that's definitely how the breakage happened. Either way, just wanted to share for transparency's sake.

Very good question, I was actually about to update my post. So unfortunately, it's not excellent. They broke less than 3 months after the warranty expired :/ Specifically, they technically still work, but one of the ears broke off in a way that makes them unwearable and therefore unuseable. I'm sorry to say... So, if you do end up getting them, just make sure you carry them in some kind of case or protective cover. I tried to be careful with them, but granted, I only had them in a cloth bag and would just shove them in my backpack, which could sometimes get quite packed. Which is definitely how the breakage happened.

Some pictures to illustrate where and how it broke. So the cups are foldable - they turn essentially along their own axis in a way that makes them able to be positioned flat. I'd say that the maximum it can do is an almost 180° turn. And then that joint can kind of flip forward/inwards, as to turn the (flat-laying) ear cups inside as per this picture (idk how to explain if well, but hopefully the pictures illustrate it). So you can probably see that that joint part is potentially quite breakable/vulnerable, as it's quite small, made of plastic and moved/strained a lot. Both turning point are in this small bit of plastic. It's a great design functionally, but easy to see how it could break. https://preview.redd.it/7otuslz8h0xf1.jpeg?width=2880&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=976fa3c9d099b3a47b7c49c35d02e8d2d8ba13a0 I'll add a picture of the broken part in a follow-up comment.

For me I didn’t have issue, I know I’m kinda late 😭 but yeah I have small ears and they cover all of them and I have a piercing in one of them and it doesn’t hurt even after an entire day with the headphones one nor when I’m laying down with them!
