I recently got a Jlab Lux headset and I honestly love it. I haven't fiddled with the equalizing options much yet but the bespoke app has quite a few options for audio customization. Before I got this Bluetooth headset I was mentally rolling my eyes over how *everything* seems to have an app these days, but it was really easy to pair my headset to it and the app is easy to understand as well so I'm willing to forgive it on this occasion lol. The charge also lasts for like 90 hours, and it charges super quick. I thought I would miss my €20 clearance-sale Sony bluetooth on-ears, but this Jlab headset was definitely worth the €60 I put down for it. They fit comfortably and have a good amount of swivel, and they fold up quite nicely for daily transport by work bag. My asks for a new headset were honestly pretty close to what your partner is looking for - I don't *need* audiophile quality, 'good enough' is good enough for me. The mildly battered Soundcore q30s I borrowed from my brother after my Sony UH202's died would skip audio for a second every so often and it. Drove. Me. Up. The. WALL!!! The Soundcore might deliver better audio quality than a marked-down dinky little Sony on-ear, but I wanted to toss the thing at the end of the week the skipping bothered me so much.

do nottt get the jbl live, i hater them, anc is awful especially on planes, very uncomfortable, tiny ear cups, awful . i just got jlabs and i like them a lot, anc is pretty good on flights but not amazing, an sound is great for movie and music mode. i plan to get cmf too ! so i’ll compare

I have the Soundcore Space 1. It can do either ambient or ANC while wired. So, I think the other Soundcore will do the same. JLab Lux does this too. I looked at those. I like the DHRME YouTube channel from the Netherlands. They always test ANC headphones while wired.

I have liked the Soundcore Space 1 that I got in July. JBL Tune 770, JLab Lux are good ones too.

I have the Soundcore Space 1. The ANC seems quite good. For me the pads are comfortable and create a good seal. They have improved the ambient mode for what I had with the Q30 (a lot of white noise). Soundcore Warranty is 18 months and Jlab is 24 months. I did try the Jlab Lux. It seemed pretty good on anc and sound. I was able to try the Best Buy demo.

Jlab lux are reaaaallly nice

JLab Lux over the ears. I bought them on sale from Amazon for $37 (normally $70) a few weeks ago after I rolled over on my Beats Studio Pro breaking them then damaged my in-ears while cleaning them all in the same month. The Lux have a pretty decent ANC blocking most noise (pretty good on the noisy subway) and fantastic battery life. Also the Spatial Audio is great. Has a richer sound with music than I expected from budget headphones. I find them really comfortable to wear for hours when listening to my audiobooks at work. They block out most of my coworker’s constant humming and off key singing. I charge them about once a week, and use them an average of 6 -8 hours a day 5 days a week. Very clear with speech even with low volume. The buttons are easily accessible for volume, play/pause and switching from anc/off/be aware and are easily customizable through the app. You have the option the change for music or dialog. They also connect to two devices at once só I don’t have to switch from my phone to my iPad. I have a small size head with stretched ears and they don’t slip off my head or pinch my ears. My daughter who has a medium wide sized head says they fit well and comfortable. For cheap headphones they have exceeded my expectations.
