I see the Jlab rewind 2 is pretty bad, but can become decent after modifying the equalizer settings. Here is my question: The equalizer is an app. I plan to pair this with my PC. If I pair it with my phone to change the equalizer settings via app does that follow the headphones to my PC where there is no equalizer app to adjust it?

I've got it too and I used ear buds for both music and audiobooks (but not as long as you, maybe one to two years). I blamed the ear buds. I tried the supplement that claims to help. They tell you to take like 7 at a time. When I took that much I got some relief. I lowered the dose and continued taking them for a long time, maybe a year and a half. To some degree I adjusted to annoying sound. This summer I ventured to get another Bluetooth headphone. Mind you I still have tinnitus. FWIW I don't think these make it any worse. I thought hearing aids themselves were capable of Bluetooth and could serve to privately amplify sound, at least when paired with a smartphone. True at least for the ones worn by folks I know. That said, I can suggest some Bluetooth headphones that might be comfortable with hearing aids that also have a built in mic for phone calls. JLab Rewind 2 Wireless Retro Headphones. They remind me of the headphones for the original Sony Walkman but with modern features. Inexpensive and very comfortable. I don’t wear hearing aids, but I do use them for audiobooks. They also provide an app with a few equalizer profiles - including one for voice.

Only you will be able to judge what is comfortable for you. I was unhappy with expensive ear buds. I felt like I was underwater with ear plugs and the sensation persisted when I took them out. So I tried a variety of headphones. I wear glasses so it’s not like nothing is behind my ears. The JLab ones were the only ones that didn’t press on my ears. Maybe I wear them in a more forward position to avoid any possibility but there’s little to no pressure. While they’re very light and comfortable for me, your experience may differ. Good luck.
