I've purchased the wired and bluetooth version of these JLAB headphones for my kids. They have a pair for school (wired) and a pair for home to use with their iPads. Our wireless ones do have an audio jack and you can use whatever cable you like. I think they are more comfortable than my Beats Studio, tbh. One downfall of the Beats is that the audio jack hole is TINY, so it was hard to find a cord that actually fit. I'll admit I don't know much about audio stuff either, but these are also inexpensive enough that I don't feel too bad if they get scuffed up or lost. I use over the ear headphones, they never slip out and they work as earmuffs in the cold. Though the trails I run on do not have cars, but sometimes I slightly move one ear to hear better as needed. I use relatively cheap ones- JLab studio pro ~$50 usd and have no complaints on sound quality
It’s kinda wild how many options don’t account for comfort if you wear glasses. The pressure from the earcups can start hurting after a while, especially if you’re wearing them for long stretches. A few models do seem to balance that better though — look for ones with cloud or memory foam padding, lightweight frames, and adjustable hinges that don’t clamp too tight. the JLab studio ANC falls into that category — it’s got super soft cloud foam cushions and a lightweight build, which people say makes a difference if you’ve got glasses on. Battery’s works pretty well too: 34+ hrs, or around 28 with noise cancelling on, and it has built-in EQ presets so you can tweak the sound a bit. Not audiophile-level or anything, but more than decent for casual listening, commutes, or work-from-home setups. Other ones people seem to like for similar reasons are Soundcore Life Q30 and Sony (dont rmr exact model sorry), especially if you’re looking for a step up in ANC or soundstage. Do keep in mind tho these can be a bit bulkier.
I actually really love the JLab Studio Wireless headphones. They're NOT noise-cancelling, so you can stay aware of what's going on around you. There's a simple round button for pause / play on the headphone. And they're CHEAP. They're 30 USD. I actually love all the cheap JLab headphones because I'm one of the few freaks who hates noise-cancelling - I don't like the way it feels like my head is in a fishbowl when I wear fancy noise-cancelling headphones. And bluetooth technology has come so far that you can get a good set for 20 or 30 bucks.
I was using jlab over ear sports anc. I just replaces them with Raycon open earbuds. I've only had them for a week, so I'm still getting use to them.
