you bet I will currently I got some Chinese 10USD IEMs, they irritate my ear canal, got a little better with foam eartips but still not comfortable, and they sound kinda muddy but good for the price. then I have the Koss KSC75, I can wear them indefinitely and the sound is great and clear. They will be the benchmark. I will also get a fiio 5k pro for 115EUR on Aliexpress since I want to see if "expensive" DACs will make any difference (I currently have a random 5EUR apple dongle equivalent). wish me good luck on my beginner audio journey, I've done too much research, I want to get my hands dirty now. I swore to myself that I will be honest and tell the world that my purchase is not worth it if that were to be the case.

I second the KSC 75. LEGENDARY in its own right.

Koss Porta Pro, KSC75 and SHP9500 are the OG affordable audiophile grade gear. Even these seem overpriced in comparison.

I'm looking for a closed over-ear headphone that sounds better than the S4R. Would I like the HDB 630? My headphones ranking goes something like: Stax 009 ER4S Stax SRS-2170 Koss ESP-950 HD580 Koss ESP-9 Ollo S4R 1.1 DT1350 DT990 Pro Sony MDR-EX15 (hard to rank these, actually) K701 HD25 KRK 6400 Ixos MOS DJ1001 Koss Sporta Pros and KSC equivalents Sony V6 & 7506 Harman Kardon ANC Fly (muddy mess)

r/headphones • Tried the HDB 630s today, was disappointed by the hype ->

Some questions for you: * Which sounds the best? * Which is most comfortable? * Which is the best balance of being comfortable and sounding good? I find the KSC75 pretty uncomfortable. The Audio Technica ATH-EM7x is more comfortable, but not great for stability and also it sounds quite bad. Overall I prefer flatheads TBH, but I'm still curious if there's a good clip-on out there.

DCA Aeon RT, those are my daily drivers for PC use. They feel like pillows on my ears. KSC75 are good enough if you don't mind the earclips. I like using these for VR.

IEMs are the best bet at that budget, in my opinion. I got my Moondrop Chu 2s for €16 and they sound great, especially for the price. The Tangzu WAN'ER, 7Hz Zero, and KZ Castor offer similar performance at that price on AliExpress. For on ear options, the Koss KSC75 also hovers around that price. I've seen them drop to only €11.

KSC75 with a pad mod (Yaxi pads work the best for me) and good felt dampener to tame the treble peaks is the ultimate pair. Switched to them from IEMs myself because of the same reason as yours.

Try koss ksc75, it's cheap, so just try it out before making a high end decision
