I have the astro A10 gen1 and they're pretty good but the padding on the band have worn out do you think the A50s are worth the money?
Astro A10 gen 1 Used for several years, almost no wear + tear Good audio and comfortable around ears, relatively cheap. Only downside is the small amount of padding on top and not sound cancelling. A10 Gen 2 fixes this/these issues and is also wireless
I've had a Blackshark V2 X for around a month or two and it already has a connection issue causing horrible scratchy audio every minute or so, I'm having issues finding a headset $50 or under to replace it. I don't really want to get another V2 X because this issue seems to be caused where the cord connects to the headset and it's not replaceable. Outside of my V2 I've tried the Astro A10 gen 1 and 2. My only real requirements are for it to have a replaceable/removeable wire, it to be $50 or under, though I'm willing to go to $60, and preferably to be more durable or less prone to this kind of issue.
I use some gen 1 Astro A10s . The mic is godawful, do not recommend.
My wife and I started with Astro A10s because they were inexpensive and they worked fine. We wanted wireless because reasons and got some Official Xbox Wireless and they were meh. We very recently upgraded to Astro A50 Gen 5 and couldn't be happier. Expensive? Yes. But holy crap do they sound good.
I use a separate mic & headphones, but I have the HyperX Quadcast 2 as my mic and KZ ZSN Pro X as my in-ears. I've used the Logitech G Pro X for a while before swapping to this system, however the headphones got heavy on my head after very long gaming sessions, but they were comfy! I go back to them if I need wireless :). I also have a pair of Astro A10s I use for my PS5. They are super lightweight and the audio is good, and the mic isn't terrible.
