Me n my son both got gen 3’s I bought for Xmas a few years ago. But battery bar lights keep going back n forth & no sound from headphones. Sometimes if I unplug from back of Xbox , never unplug from base , this is how my base quit working & had to wait 4 months before I was able to find new base. My son’s base updated just fine last night but now his headphones can’t update. Not sure if it’s issue with Astro app or from the corrosion on one of the connection pads on headphones. I cleaned it & tried again but still can’t get them to update , so he had Walmart deliver a pair of turtle beach to use for now

I think quality went down, I have had a gen 3 pair for 6 ish years now no issues, honestly love them, I use them atleast 2 hours a day since new.

Like any other product you will only see reviews and people comments on bad experiences. I’m still rocking Xbox gen 3 a50, ps4 gen 3 a50, and Xbox gen 4 a50 and ps gen 4 a50. (One for gaming pc, one for series x, one for ps4, and one for wok pc)… I honestly should get the a50x 🤣🤣🤣 just for convenience…

I have 2 gen 3s for Xbox and Playstation that still work perfectly. Bought Gen 4s when I bought a gaming PC, they bricked but Astro replaced them with the A50X for free. Didn't even make me send in the broken ones.
