I'm been happy with the Logitech G535 lightspeed. Does a decent job in terms of audio, but what's really nice is how comfortable they are. I've literally walked out of the house with them, not noticing I had them on. It's also nice that I can walk room to room with them on, as long as the transmitter USB is positioned well. Benefit is the mute by pushing the mic arm up. You can do a quick pee run between games and still hear your team mates bad mouth you while muted. lol.
I know i’m late but I decided to comment because I also had a G535 and switched to a Cloud 3s last week😂 i’m no audiophile, but I can tell you the Cloud 3s were a masive improvement. I play FPS games and I can hear foot steps around me and know how exactly where people are. As for the mic, the first time I used the head set my friends were saying the mic sounded extremely clear. There’s probably better headsets than the Cloud 3s but they are a huge improvement over the G535 and i’m happy I bought them
Hey guys, I currently have a pair of Logitech G535 that I’m ready to retire, and I’m looking to buy some good headphones that won’t be too expensive. The HyperX Cloud III S caught my attention, but I’ve noticed there are *a lot* of mixed opinions online. Some people say they offer the best sound you can get for the price, even some audiophiles praise them, but I’ve also seen people claiming they sound pretty bad, that the microphone is terrible, and so on. So I’d really like to hear from people who actually own them right now. Are they really that good, or is the hype exaggerated?
Thank you, this information is very helpful! The battery is one of the mos interesting features I see in the Cloud III S, my logitech G535 are also wireless but I have to charge them like every 2 days because I work from home so I use them for very long periods of time, that's one of the main reasons I've been considering the Cloud. What do you think about the app? I've seen people saying that is kind of uncomfortable to use and does not have a lot of features.
SS Nova 5 or Logitech G535 would be my picks. Both are wireless, budget options from decent brands. Both are very light weight and comfortable. The SS has ear cups that are a bit on the smaller side, so if you have Dumbo ears might want to go with the Logitech.
