There is a wireless alternative for a bit more, too: https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/logitech-g-pro-x-lightspeed-wireless-gaming-headset-with-microphone-black/14882481
While my OG pro x wireless have held up and are still great. they don’t hold a flame to my iems for any kind of audio. I only miss the wireless aspect of the pros
I got my Maxwell 2 yesterday and after using a Logitech Pro X (Gen 1) for years. Honestly, I can't believe I've been missing this much audio. They're a little heavy, yeah. But get the strap with them and you're solid. 24 hours in and I'm absolutely loving them. Was worried I'd regret the purchase but I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
Why do you care what others think? They are way above average I'd say. Well, the microphone is average at best but perfectly serviceable for a headset mic in discord etc. I went through the leather earcups quite fast and have been using the cloth ones for years now. I don't see the point buying anything new unless it dies which is quite improbable as they are very sturdy. I've had these probably for 5 years now. For actually enjoying music I prefer in-ears or studio grade headphones, in gaming situations these are totally fine. I don't use the 7.1 surround because that's stupid and laughable feature in stereo headsets.
Ive used the 1st Gen pro x for a couple of years now. The mic isn't the best out of the box, you can be heard clearly but it just doesn't sound quite right. This can be adjusted with software. The audio quality is lacking out of the box as well. I personally love Dolby Atmos but the headset doesn't support it, or rather Logitech's drivers lock you out of it. Change the drivers to generic USB audio. Then you can enable Atmos. But you lose the ability to adjust anything in the app. I like the leatherette, has good sound isolation for gaming, even with wearing glasses. Battery life is good. Lasts about 20 hours for me. Just plug it in when you're done gaming and you'll never have to worry about it dying. TLDR: after workarounds the headset sound quality is decent. But a product should be good out of the box. No work around needed
Gaming headsets are perfectly fine for the majority of people. There are some that are ass and others that are great. I’ve been using the Logi G Pro X headset for about 3 years and it’s great. For me it’s super impractical to have a boom mic or use an external mic that hooks on. Literal more wires to my chaos.
I’ve been using a G Pro X for 2 years. Hard to beat it on sale honestly.. cloth ear pads and aluminum build? It’s a good one.
I dont have that much experience with gaming headphones but I owned the first gpro x and then the gpro x 2s (only upgraded cause it was a good sale and nephew needed a pair) I really liked them. Theyre extrmeely comfortable. I personally upgraded the ear cups but everything was really good. Battery life was solid and sound was good for me. Someone mentioned it but surround sound does sound goofy on it but of course just dont use it. No comment on the mic bc I always had a standalone so I never had to use it. Always remember that people online only ever have bad things to say, no one really makes a post that they're happy with their purchase
I had it for about 5 years now. On 2.5 years mark the headphone went deaf on one side. Spent 1 hour to go to the service center and they replaced it with a new one. Also thw fake leather ear muff always flake off on about 1 year mark. Audio is fine for a gaming headset. My fav part is the mic. Recently upgraded to a hifi headphone and a separated mic, much better but i did spend about twice as much in total
