I own a pair of the X2HR and I find them to be one of the best feeling/most comfortable headphones I own. Capra Audio headbands also help a ton with comfort if they have them for whatever set you’re interested in.

"Gaming _____" = overpriced garbage. Just grab audiophile headphones. I have the Phillips Fidelio XHR2. Its lasted me years, sounds absolutely amazing and still looks brand new

Ditch the integrated mic idea and use a detachable one. I fucking hate Modmic, but no one has made a worthy competitor to their products yet so I begrudgingly still use and recommend them. In my opinion the best general-use headphones under $300 or so are the Philips Fidelio X2HR which retail for $170ish in the US at least, those plus a ModMic USB will be just under $300 USD and I guarantee will blow away any sort of ‘gaming’ headphones out there.

I just ordered the Phillips Fidelio X2HR for 66 euro on Amazon. Don't think you can beat that for the price.

Since you already love Beyerdynamic the Tygr 300 is the best recommendation I can give you, have been using it for years on PC. I wish I could use it on my Xbox but unfortunately I can't without a mic attached to it. So I just received the Philips Fidelio X2HR and my V moda mic and this combination is amazing sounding as well (and cheap, paid around 100 euro for the combi) It's very easy to pinpoint people in Arc Raiders and which floor they are on now compared to the Nova 7x I used before.

I just got the X2HR today so that's hard to say but I always did like the Tygr for music as well. But it's really reallyyy good for gaming, very wide soundstage and precise imaging. Did read beforehand that the X2HR is very good for music and movies but haven't tried on either yet just Arc and in that its amazing.

As someone who has owned the HE400SE before, the timbre is pretty strange and they're quite uncomfortable, not to mention the build quality. 560S, DT880 if EQ, AD900X, X2HR are all better options (I have owned all of these at some point).

I haven't been able to find a better headphone for myself than my decade old Fidelio X2's. I want wireless/wired but nothing has hit the spot, so I started a udelix 5k to them. Welcome to the future lmao

I still keep/use these even though I have much more expensive headphones. The comfort on these are just so good especially during hot summers where my X2HRs are way too hot

If you don't like a very wide sound stage I would stay away from the X2HR. For me, it is too wide, makes the music sound a bit shallow. And their treble sounds a little bit metallic too. The metallic treble is less noticeable than the very wide sound stage. They have a good, punchy base, but I prefer DT770 80 ohm's base, especially the sub-base rumble, which X2HR lack a bit. They are very well rounded headphones though. I would recommend you trying them.

This is what I use and it checks all of OPs boxes. It's perfect for immersive single player games.
