Poly blackwire 3220 is simple, reasonably priced, built well, the mic sounds good, and will last a long time as a wired set.

Poly (Plantronics) Blackwire 3220 Stereo Headset or Jabra 75. Both are killer. Plantronics ones are much cheaper and really amazing value for money. I use them day to day on busy office floor. Nothing goes through them. Jabra is a whole different league.

I'm not usually very easy to persuade through marketing. But this image made me learn more about the brand, and that research made me a fan of the product. [image: Neil Armstrong wearing Plantronics Headset](https://headsetplus.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/neil-armstrong.jpg) In the Mercury/Atlas space program, the pilots involved identified a need for a headset that would work with the space suits, zero-gravity, and environmental-noise factors. A guy calls a friend, friend builds a protototype and it gets contracted to NASA through Plantronics. This was when NASA was a national-level mission to put a man on the moon. Cost-be-damned. NASA could have anything they wanted, from any provider on the planet. They stuck with Plantronics. In the 1970s and 1980s call centers were filled with Plantronics headsets. They were THE business standard all through the 90's and into the 2010s. Plantronics bought Altec Lansing in 2005. Plantronics bought Polycom in 2018. They rebranded to become Poly around that same time. In 2022 HP bought Poly, and so far hasn't screwed with their business significantly. I have Poly Blackwire USB wired here in the office, and a smaller, portable wired set in my backpack. At home I have a Poly Bluetooth headset that is a delight. For business communications, I'm a Poly/Plantronics fanboy. But my AirPod Pros are in my jeans pocket for my personal phone.
