# 1. SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7 (or 7X / 7P) * price: often around $140–$150 on sale * pros: excellent soundstage for positional awareness, comfortable ski-band design, multi-platform (pc, ps, xbox depending on model), dual wireless + bluetooth. * cons: battery life is good but not best-in-class (\~38 hours). # 2. hyperx cloud alpha wireless * price: \~$130 * pros: outstanding battery life (up to 300 hours), clear directional audio, strong build, comfortable memory foam padding. * cons: no bluetooth, mostly pc/ps compatible. # 3. logitech g pro x 2 lightspeed (if you found on sale) * price: normally $250, but sales can drop it to $150 \~$170. * pros: fantastic positional sound with dts headphone:x, swappable earpads, low-latency lightspeed dongle. * cons: might stretch your budget unless discounted. # 4. corsair hs80 rgb wireless * price: \~$120 * pros: dolby atmos support, very good mic quality, comfortable floating headband, works on pc and ps5. * cons: battery life is shorter (\~20 hours). # 5. razer blackshark v2 pro (2023 ed) * price: \~$150 * pros: clear positional audio, lightweight, improved mic quality, 70-hour battery life. * cons: sound signature leans toward bass heavy if unadjusted. requirements: * under $150 * wireless/ a dongle not a headphone jack * good positional sounds * noise cancellation (not a MUST) let me break down your requirements real quick wireless will always have some latency even with low latency dongles so if you are aiming for competitive gaming you are already putting yourself at a disadvantage good positional sound usually comes from open back headphones but those do not block outside noise if by noise cancellation you mean active noise cancellation (ANC) it actually hurts positional accuracy because it alters the sound cues and is more useful for airplanes or travel closed back headphones already block some outside noise but not in a way that ruins positional sound for casual gaming you can spend less and still get solid wireless options for competitive gaming wired open back headphones are still the best since they give you a wider soundstage and make it feel like you have wall hacks.
For under 200 I would recommend Razer, they are really comfortable and light (for wireless headphones) the Mic is hands down best in market. Sound can get some work, but decent non the less. I use it with Dolby and some personal EQ, than it can sound great, at least imo. Haven't tried the rest so can't speak for it
This! Make sure to pick the 2023 edition. There is one downside, besides the 70h battery life, you have no way of telling at what percentage your battery currently is xD.
Razer Blackshark v2 pro 2023. Believe me, they are one of the best. Sound quality, surround sound and mic quality is top for that money.
Hello, I'm looking to upgrade my PC Audio and this is my first time getting into Audio Equipment. Before I've been using a Razer Blackshark V2 Pro Bluetooth but it kind of sounds too "scratchy" to me. I know I want closed back headphones, since my PC is in the living room with noise around sometimes. I am torn between two descicions and want to get some input. My budget is about 250€ Either I get the DT 770 Pro and a Topping DX1 DAC/Amp or I get the FiiO package: FiiO FT1 + FiiO E10K Any advice is appreciatet since I'm new to this kind of equipment. I am open for other suggestions as well. Thank you in advance
I own the Audeze Maxwell and the razer black shark v2 pro (2023). Look the audeze sound better yes, but it isn’t worth the difference in microphone quality. The razer black shark v2 pro have the best wireless microphone I’ve heard on a gaming headset. The sound quality from the drivers is also very good not as good as audeze but still very good. So if you care more about audio quality go with audeze If you want a better mic go with razer black shark V2 pro If you do go razer Just make damn sure you buy the 2023 edition and no other version.
Yes they are really bad. The build quality is 50/50 on if the plastic components that keep it together won't crack & crumble on you within the year. The mic quality is on par with a lot of the other low quality mics out there. You'd think it's on their Top Tier gaming components line, it'd be better. But it's not. You can make it less bad with the custom settings. Software isn't that bad to use, but the bad part is if you run into the startup loop. All your settings are lost :\*(. And this happens often. The sound quality is it's only good thing. Buuuuuut, it's ruined by their own interpretation of surround sound, which just sounds like you're in a tunnel and offer no positional ques what so ever. This problem is a driver problem which I believe is only present on windows 11 and not windows 10. You can fix this problem by using an older driver that doesn't have the problem. Or use the windows default sound drivers, but you will lose out on ghub custom sound/mic settings. Blackshark v2 update version is the best all around headset. At the same price point. A50's are the best mic and sound of them all still, but it's expensive. If anyone is looking at the G Pro's at the 150 range, go for Blackshark v2 updated version or the logitech G522. Their sound and mic quality is top tier for the 150 range. G pro mic sounds like the G733. [https://www.youtube.com/shorts/rh1Iy55rSGU](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/rh1Iy55rSGU)
I've had mine for about 3 months now, I bought a new strap because the stock one was giving me a headache. I still have issue with them feeling like they are clamping too hard on my head and glasses tho. I have one of the really flexible meshy plastic comfort straps and have one side set to the middle, one side set to the top any looser and it feels like its gonna fall off my head, any tighter and it feels like a vice clamp. That's literally my only complaint. The sound is phenomenal. No issue with speakers, hardware/software or anything buggy on that. If they didn't weigh so much they'd be perfect. But I put on my old Razr Blackshark V2 pros, adjusted the equalizer and in comparison it sounds like actual crap. If I could get this comfort thing under control they'd be absolutely perfect. Sometimes I wish I could exchange them for something lighter but then I want the same kind of sound too. So I guess I'll put up with it until I find a solution.
