I recently cane across my old gaming headphones while clearing some stuff out, an original Razer Kraken, in bright green. The comfort wasn't as bad as I remember (replaced them with an original HyperX Cloud for that reason) but they're absolutely monstrous bass cannons. I had a -6db bass shelf on all frequencies under 200Hz and they were ridiculously bassy, and it bleeds across the mids just smearing everything. Treble was ok though. A perfect example of the why gaming headsets suck trope.

The original razer kraken were so good to me, lasted about 4 years until it just died I wasn't mad I feel like i got my moneys worth. Got Astros and they are also very good

Hows yours holding up? Mine legit just fell apart on me after less than 6 months. Wish it had the same build quality as my original Kraken from 5 years ago that I "upgraded" from.

I wear glasses and settled on the Corsair HS80 and HS80 MAX after experiencing absolute ear pain with my Razr Kraken. I've found the HS80 series to be quite comfortable while gaming for a few hours...

Razer kraken pro here, i think it's wonderful, it also has live monitoring without any delay so I can hear myself a little bit, so I know when I'm breathing directly into the mic for example.

I have razer kraken wired version bc tbh I can't hear the difference between something like that and the audiophile headphones. I turned off the bass boost and it sounds great to me for what I need it for - game audio and being in voice with my friends - and I like a built in mic instead of a desktop stand mic. Background isolation seems good as it doesn't transmit my bf talking in the same room. Comfy enough to wear for 8 hours at a time also, but I dont wear glasses so if you do can't vouch for that.

I had a pair of Razer Krakens (wired) back in 2015 and they were absolutely spectacular for non gaming use. I've used a lot of flagship headphones and I still look back really fondly on the pair.

I've had 2 gaming headsets, first it was a Steelseries Siberia, then a Razer Kraken, but then I got to know someone at work who is into sound. He convinced me to buy a HD 650 and by god it was a different tier. It was so comfortable, but 5-6 years ago I've changed it to a HD 800, purely because the same friend sold it to me £500, pretty much half price and he took good care of them too.
