Looking for some headphone advice. I currently use the Sennheiser HD 560S and overall I really like them. For music, comfort, and general sound quality they're great. The one thing that confuses me is that when gaming, especially in Rainbow Six Siege, footsteps seem easier for me to hear and identify on my old Razer Kraken V3. I'm not talking about bass, immersion, or excitement. Specifically footsteps and directional audio seem better to my ears on the Kraken V3. I don't want to buy another gaming headset. I'd rather stick with audiophile headphones. Has anyone else experienced this? Are there any headphones similar to the HD 560S but with better footstep performance and positional audio for competitive FPS games? Or is there some EQ setting I should be using on the 560S? Games: Rainbow Six Siege, FPS titles
What do you people do with these headsets, I still have the original razer headset, then a V3 that’s served me since it came out and that gets used for over 10 hours a day, dropped about etc
Bought the Razer Kraken V3 and have been loving it ever since.
Personally i recommend 7.1 surround headsets. But not virtual ones. For example i used razer chroma 7.1 for years. I can recommend that one but razer usually has hardware issues
Had great luck with razer’s mice in the past so i recently picked up their kracken headset and its good so far
Seconding this, I have a kraken headset, and while functionally it is fine, the headband material has begun to degrade and is now flaking off. The same thing happened with the original ear pads but they are replaceable, unfortunately the headband isn't. Had they not used this thin faux leather the headset would have lasted a lot longer without issue.
