I love the built in audio tbh, I had an oculus rift cv1, them speakers were so fucking good! I am just praying meta will someday bring back not built in speakers but those slightly out there hanging to the side of your ears deep ass bass speakers. God theyre good on the rift. But I still dont use headset on my quest 3, except sometimes when I use virtual desktop to play games/watch movies or listen to music in pcvr, and then I wear a Razer Nari Ultimate, deep bass, vibrating motors, great sound quality, if you tweak the right settings in razer synapse, it sounds legit like youre in a cinema theater
I would argue the exact opposite. Only really used wireless for the last 10 years and have been fine. Some games I've played a ton are CSGO, Siege, every Battlefield, every cod up before Black Ops 4, Halos, Gears of War 4-Ultimate reloaded and more I can't think of. Chatting with friends while playing is a huge thing for me and it always has to be wireless. I need headsets that I can change the game/chat mix on the fly with and my last two mains were the Razer Nari Ult and SteelSeries nova pro wireless. Obviously everyone's hearing is different and everyone will have different preferences, but for siege I can say both those headsets are good. For example you brought up tinkering with settings, and I have never done that on any headset I have ever owned except for turning off a lot of quirky features on the SteelSeries.
Hey ya'll, been perusing this subreddit for a few days tryna do some research on a solid pair of newer headphones, and decided I'd ask directly. My gaming headset broke and I'm poking around looking for a new one. It was a wireless Razer headset for Xbox, and while I did like it, the band broke right above the left muff, which is a trend ny headphones tend to have, with my old ass HyperX's and my Steelseries 1's both succumbing to the same fate. With this, I'm in the market for a new pair, and this time I'm gonna be staying wired and getting a pair that work with my Xbox, PC, and phone (Android if it matters), just so I have 1 pair that can do everything. My current "generalist" headphones are a pair of JBL Tune 520BT's that have held up surprisingly well to bring used a tad roughly, getting dropped, slept on, and smushed in a jacket pocket more than a few times, but the Bluetooth adapter doesn't work with an Xbox, there's no 3.5mm jack to do so, and most importantly, it's on-ear instead of over-ear which is very uncomfortable after an hour or 2. So, to my request. I'm looking for a pair of headphones that are reasonably solid, are either hybrid Bluetooth or wired or just straight wired with a 3.5mm, have a mic, are over-ear, and don't cost a kidney and my soul. I know most of ya'll are against gaming headsets with mics but I can't exactly be carrying a mic when I'm out and about and on a Discord call. Price range is preferably under 100 but I can stretch a bit if need be. Thanks ya'll!
If your want wireless, I prefer Razer but the bass is deep and they are comfortable. Wired Epos h6 pro. Best headset I’ve used for gaming
