Sennheiser PC 360. bought it in 2012, still going strong. Look for a professional gaming headset, it will be high quality and comfortable for long meetings.

I've really wanted to upgrade to something wireless, and it's a bummer they don't do replacement cords anymore. I've had to replace the cord a bunch of times because the cheap amazon ones just stop working eventually. That said I can't find anything that even compares to the quality/comfort of the game ones. I've been using these for years, and I can't find anything better, or comparable.

560s is possibly the upgrade you are looking for. You can attach different cable and microphone. I went Game Zero - HyperX Cloud 2 - Game One - 560s. Zero regrets.

They do on Amazon, but they're an EPOS | Sennheiser collab now and are just as much as the PC38X (but better imo). I think other than the re-branding on the headset that they are mostly the same as the OG Game One.

These are goated. I love my pair. I've bought and sold them a few times (even gifted one to someone) but I've compared them to the PC38X and preferred them over them every time. PC37X were great too since they were just the Drop re-brand of these. I have a pair that I use for gaming w/ a mic and use an Arya & HE1000 Stealth for just casual gaming/music listening. I have an H6 Pro Open and the sound quality and comfort isn't anywhere close to the Game One. I don't think they'll ever make a better open back gaming headset.

Sennheiser Game One’s. They are very comfortable and the mic is amazing.

They're effectively the old Sennheiser Gaming One with some tweaks, which were, indeed, great headphones. No idea why Sennheiser stopped making them in favour handing most of the branding to drop and going about doing something else. I've got the GSP 600, PC38X and a H6 Pro - all these are similar and they're all great.

I have those as well. I use them mainly for gaming and compared them to DT900 Pro X, DT770 Pro X and Sennheiser PC360s and I disagree that they are not as good for gaming. I think they have a kind of subtleness and precision that makes it pretty easy to locate other players, for example in BF6. How they fare in other, more competitive games, I can’t say. But they are incredibly comfortable, far more than Beyers, especially due to their weight. And sound is great. I did tune the bass up a bit because I like hip hop. But that’s all.

Just came across this post after researching Game One vs. PC38X and wanted to share my input. I used the Game One for almost 10 years and loved it. Great sound quality, great comfort, good mic. The only issues I had were that the adhesive at the middle of the headband material eventually failed like OP mentioned. My hair would get stuck and pulled every time I took off the headset. Super annoying. I re-glued the headband but it never really sat right again. Also, the volume control knob on the right earcup eventually had issues. If it was totally maxed out, sound would only come out of one side. The fix was easy though. Just back the knob off slightly from maximum volume and it works normally. Today my PC38X arrived and it looks and sounds very similar to the Game One. I'd say the bass is heavier with the PC38X. Mids seem a little muddier. I might just need to get used to it but my first thoughts are that I slightly preferred the Game One audio profile. The mic sounds nearly identical. Comfort feels the same as the Game One but has slightly higher clamp force (this might go away eventually). With the headband separated into two pieces maybe the adhesive won't fail like the Game One did for me. Overall, I'm very happy with both headsets! P.S. For anyone confused about the branding, apparently Sennheiser sold off their gaming division as EPOS, who then stopped production outside of Drop, who is now owned by Corsair. Crazy.
