Aviator 900 ANC headphones horrible. Poor and inconsistent Bluetooth connectivity. Custom feature switches on its own. Customer service wrote up a "ticket." Never heard back from them. Returned within warranty period.
Don't get the Aviator 900. Lots of flaws and bad customer service
Yes, I've had them since launch. They're great so far. I've even gotten rid of my AirPods Max and pocketed the $150 difference. The airpods max are better, no doubt! But I believe $50 better not $200! Unlike the skull candy aviator, another extremely well-designed headphone, the build quality on the NH1 is crazy good. And confort is way better. I go to sber every single night with them ON and wake up finding them somewhere in bed under my weight. The button controls, paddle to skip songs and the scrolling wheel implementation on the NH1 is the greatest of every headphones I've every tried (Sennheiser, Sony apple Skullcandy...) The only issue I found with them is with the black one especially as the paint job rubs off where the ear cup hit each other. However it could be a me thing cuz I DO NOT baby these 1 but. I don't even know where the hardshell case it came with is at!
I tried out the Aviator 900 ANC and on the whole found it to be really enjoyable. Super comfy for 10+ hour wear (even with glasses), great feeling controls, and I liked the sound (particularly on movie mode or bass boost). To be fair, when it comes to over ears, I basically only use Skullcandy because every other brand has been too large to fit my head, so I am a tad biased.
I have skull candy ANC over the ear headphones. Cost $100 and have lasted 5 years. Not high end, not low end.
I currently have a pair of og wired Quiet Comforts. I like the noise cancellation and sound quality, plus they fold up neatly which is convenient, but they are wired and take an AA battery. I bought a pair of cheap SkullCandy ANC and don't like them. Noise cancellation is not as good as the Bose, the mic is not very good, plus they have a super annoying feature where they don't work while plugged in, so they are unusable if the battery runs out. Right now Sony XM5 is on sale for less than $300 on Amazon, BestBuy has open-box Bose Quiet Comfort Ultras for $250, regular "non-ultra" quiet comforts can be found on sale for about $300, Sennheiser Momentum 4 for $222. Anker Q45 and JBL 770nc are attractive price and have good reviews, but I don't want to waste money if they are going to be similar quality as the SkullCandy ones I already have. Which one has best noise cancelling for airplanes for $300 or less? I am seeing that Sony has best noise cancellation, but also that the xm5s don't fold up and the XM6 are more than I want to spend. I do like how my in-ear air pods automatically switch between devices, very nice for switching between phone for personal stuff and laptop for work, but I'm not paying $500 for the air pod Max headphones. Do other headphones have that feature, or is that an apple ecosystem only feature?
