I got the skull candy plyr 720's on black Friday for 149. Awesome bass and has thx spatial audio

I recently bought some Skullcandy Crusher PLYR 720's And by far they're the best headsets I've ever had. Hands down. Before that I had steelseries.. never again

A $600 headset that's less than 3 months old is already falling apart or displaying noticeable damage due to poor mfg or build quality? That doesn't seem right....I mean my Arctis Nova 7s are 2+ years old, used almost daily, and yet nothing is stripping away at all, they're in great shape. My Arctis Pro wired from 2019 is also still in good shape, tho I don't use em much anymore. Are you referring to paint that's on the headband or something, and did you get the sage green one? Cuz it might be that how good the exterior paint looks may depend on how careful you are with handling them; tho for that kinda money they should use several coats or maybe have the colors injection-molded directly into the material they use. At any rate, nothing should be falling apart or stripping off of a $600 product within a few months of ownership imo, so if it's serious, I would reach out to them.

I have two favorite headsets that I'm using right now, which are both wireless, under $200, and have dual connectivity so you can have your phone and PC/console connected at the same time, in addition to other useful features. For reference, I've owned a fair amount of headsets thru the years — Steelseries Arctis Pro + GameDAC, multiple versions of HyperX Cloud headsets, Corsair HS80, Corsair Void Pro, Logitech and Turtle Beach headsets, Sony Platinum, Sennheiser Game One/Zero, and the Razer Blackshark V2 Pro, at least those are the ones I can remember owning. And then there are the two headsets that I'm currently using, the Steelseries Arctis Nova 7 and the Skullcandy PLYR 720, both of which are great in their own ways, and very different from each other — one main difference being that the PLYR is open-back while the Nova 7 is closed back like nearly all other gaming headsets. That's one of the reasons I was intrigued, because I used to really like my open back headset years ago and wanted to try a new pair. I honestly never considered a Skullcandy gaming headset, nor was I even aware they made them, but after seeing a number of good reviews and wanting to try the "Crusher" bass for myself and also get a new open-back headset, I got em for $199. After a full month using them nearly everyday, all I can say is that they are frickin *awesome*, and that's my genuine opinion. The haptic bass (using its own haptic motors, not the speaker drivers) is sooo much fun and makes single player games and movies in particular so much more immersive and entertaining imo. Of course you can adjust the strength of the bass from somewhere near standing next to a nightclub speaker level, down to completely off as well. Their software app you can download on your phone has a ton of great features, incl a 10-band EQ with multiple presets and custom slots, THX spatial audio (which actually sounds good imo), sidetone, game/chat mix, RGB control, and even head tracking that seems to work pretty well, not that I ever actually use it. You can also swap presets with a button on the headset itself, making it easy to switch between sound profiles/EQs on the fly — like I'll often be playing a game and then I'll get some food and switch over to a streaming platform, so I'll change the EQ preset from FPS to my custom immersive one for movies. The sound and microphone quality are both great as well imo, my friends said that I sounded just as clear, if not more so on the PLYR 720's (detachable) mic than I do on the Nova 7. And when I'm playing multiplayer games like Arc Raiders I'm able to hear all the little sounds and cues that I need to hear in order to stay alive and to pinpoint where enemies and other raiders are in the area. Footsteps sound clear, esp on the FPS preset, and movies and single player games like Ghost of Yotei, Cyberpunk and GoW Ragnarok all sound so immersive and spacious thanks to the haptic bass and they fact they are open back headphones. Tl;dr, the Skullcandy PLYR 720 is one of my favorite headsets I've owned and I think it's worth picking up from Amazon since you can always return em within 30 days if you're not impressed. The Steelseries Nova 7 is also great and were my daily headset for PC/PS5 for 2+ years with no issues — tho they have upgraded to the Nova 7P now, which is what I would grab if you decide on the Steelseries lineup. Some other good options that I haven't personally tried are headsets from Beyerdynamic or the Audeze Maxwell lineup, or the Steelseries Nova Pro, as I'm sure they would all have great sound quality as well. If you're looking to spend $200 or less though, I'm fairly certain you'll be pleased with the Arctis Nova 7p or the Skullcandy PLYR 720 as I'm very happy with both of them.

Guys, bought this pair a while ago, and theyr barely any diffrent from the evos. If ur lookin for some skullcandy headphones that check every box, go 4 the anc 2s or the plyr 720s🤙

Bruh. Skullcandy crushers are awesome. I've got an OG pair and a newer pair. They are both badass. I love how hard the bass goes.
