I too started out with Hesh and since then I've owned a few pairs of Crusher Evos and just now updated to the 540s. I love Skullcandy.

Stay away from their in ear pods they all seem to have issues after a while
r/Skullcandy • It is worth it getting any type of skullcandy headphones? ->I had skullcandy hesh 2 headphones I wore everyday at work for 8 years and abused the he'll out of them. Just stopped charging today and ordered the Sony ult. Hopefully I can get a few years out of them. I mainly listen to podcasts so mainly looking for battery life and durability.

Basically they cover your ears and the sound from what you're listening to can only go into your ears. Look into skullcandy hesh they even have an aux port for when your battery dies and they just act like regular headphones.
