Hey Op. Been trying out some headphones for pretty much the same reason you are. [Airplanes and overall work noise or quiet time]  I have to sleep with headphones on bc of noise anxiety, so i depend on the sets having insulated sound and high comfort. Bass is a must.  My current wireless set is Hesh3 Evo from skullcandy. They have not failed me ever when it comes to sound quality, noise suppressiom, hands free app and music control, and voice to text or calling accessibility of which i love. Most importantly  they fit over the ear nicely and have soft leather cushioning with a plastic chassis that snugs tight. I have 2 pairs of these baddies. Also the led light isnt visible during use. So no worries about any flashing lights at night. Pros were the above.  Cons are as follows.  - ive noticed that due to lack of support for Right to Repair  the earpads can tear the lining at the attachment point and would need repair to be fixed as its only lightly glued to a plastic base rather than clipped in and isnt readily accessible for replacement.  - when its at 10% itll pause any sound and go "battery low" every 5min then at 5% itll be every 2min and at near 1 itll spam or disconnect. Which i find always annoying.  Im in the process of buying a new pair of headphones and am looking for repair shops to fix my pads so i dont throw these out. im considering getting the Crusher Evo

I too started out with Hesh and since then I've owned a few pairs of Crusher Evos and just now updated to the 540s. I love Skullcandy.

Reasons to go for the evo's: They're on sale basically everywhere, all the time. Based on what I have seen here in Germany, if you end up paying considerabl more than 100-140€, you got a bad deal. The bass is beyond any conceivable competition, at least for products in it's price range. From my own subjective experience they're build like Nokias, indestructible. I learned quickly that I basically didn't even need to check on them when I accidentally drop them from considerable heights, they fall of while riding a bicycle, or I accidentally yeet them across the entire room. They'd always be abosolutely intact, barely even scratched. When I go to sleep after listening to music I usually just push them off my bed and onto the floor or carpet. Also, and I know experiences differ on these, but the synth leather ear pads hold up really well. I've worn them probably hundreds upon hundreds of hours, and they haven't even begun flaking yet. They sound great even with the subwoofers turned to zero. I use them to listen to classical or other non bassy music while travelling. They got great noise insulation. If your environment isn't ridiculously loud, you won't hear it, and your environment won't hear your music either. The battery life is also ridiculously long, I use them often and only have to recharge them every other week They get very loud if you want to Reasons not to: No noise cancelling, which personally is something I rarely would have use for because of the noise insulation but in those rare occasions I do kind of miss that feature. Deep, but narrow ear cups. Your ears wont touch the driver, but the evos might be more on-ear than over-ear for some. Might not be balanced enough sound wise for some people. They are also closed back, but if you come to this sub you probably don't care about that.

Evos are dope and if looking for cheaper than the hesh are nice without the crazy bass of the evo. Stay away from their in ear pods they all seem to have issues after a while

Just find yourself some over the ear headphones that are closed back. Basically they cover your ears and the sound from what you're listening to can only go into your ears. Look into skullcandy hesh they even have an aux port for when your battery dies and they just act like regular headphones.

I got the normal evo, can't stand how boomy it is on android, weirdly it sounds nice on my ipod touch 4th gen. Came from the 2nd gen wired crushers, loved that one, never boomy, very clear sound plus rumble

Weirdly I also use Skullcandy. I have a set of Hesh Evo which is going on probably 5 years of daily use now, 6+ hours a day. I use it for teams, zoom, music, etc.
