Not sure about H9, but I own H7, which is almost the same as H9, but without ANC. After a year cushions and headband fake leather started to peel off. Had to remove it all to stop having black flakes appearing on my hair and shirt. Also, volume control started behaving erratically.
Volume wheel problem is very annoying, as it can suddenly get very loud. As for peeling, I own quite a few Sony headphones, and almost every one of them have peeling issues. It wouldn’t be a problem if you could change cushions yourself on H7/9, but it’s not that easy. And I am not alone with this issue. https://www.reddit.com/r/sony/comments/x1zoax/anyone_else_having_issues_with_sony_h7h9_quality/
I’ve been using the Sony INZONE H7 Wireless since they released and I’m very satisfied with them. [https://www.sony.com/za/electronics/gaming-headsets/inzone-h7](https://www.sony.com/za/electronics/gaming-headsets/inzone-h7)
I use the Sony Inzone H7 headset and have never had any issues. But i cant recall any of my other ones giving me problems either.
If I’m playing at home, I use my InZone H7s. Away from home, Sennheiser Momentum 4s wired.
I've had the H7 for a few years now and only issues with the volume wheel, but since it's Sony I at least see the volume on the PS5. I also got 3 other friends to get the H7 and it been good
Sony Inzone ( H7 or H9) are the best headphones that I ever had. Best battery life, best comfort, Bluetooth that works with 2 devices at once, 10 minutes charge for 1 hour of usage, sound is great for gaming on consoles/PC ( adapter works with both platforms). I’m coming from the Pulse Elite and Hyperx Cloud 3 and they barely compare. You can go 12-14 hours with these headphones on and you won’t feel anything.
