Maxwell are quite heavy. For this reason i went with Sony Inzone H9 II (2). They are half the weight. Sound is not at the same level that's true but I could never buy and wear something that causes me a headache.
Sony Inzone H9 II (2) perhaps. Comfy and good enough anc. But barking noises won't be completely gone with ANC.
If you want that, check out the newly released Sony Inzone H9 II (v2). Super comfy and light. (Half the maxwell weight)
+1 on this. Super light and ticks all the boxes a person needs from his headset. Came out just 2 months ago. Loving them so far.
Its not on an audiophile headphones level but its one of the better sounding gaming headsets. You also get great passive noise isolation (seal) and ANC. My head and ears are small so they fit perfectly unlike Sennheiser for example.
Go with just released Sony inzone H9 II (2). I own them. Super light/comfy and no buggy steelseries software.
Since gaming is one of the objectives, going with non-gaming headset might cause you some compatibility / ease of use issues. Take microphone for example - Sennheiser or Beyerdynamic don't use standard jack ports so third party boom mic's won't even work. Recommendations are: Audize Maxwell Steelseries Arctis PRO Sony Inzone H9 II (2) Each has its pros and cons. Btw. I had Sony XM5 but when used wired mic doesn't work and can't be used wired while charging without static noise. You need wired or dongle for low latency / no lag (above options have that). In the end I bought Inzone H9 II cause I'm used to super light headphones from Sony.
If one of the uses is gaming, don't go with non-gaming ones because you will have issues most likely. For example: I had Sony XM5 but when used wired mic doesn't work and they can't be used wired while charging without static noise. You need wired or headphones with dongle for low latency / no lag. Recommendations are: Audize Maxwell Steelseries Arctis PRO Sony Inzone H9 II (2) Each has its pros and cons. In the end I bought Inzone H9 II cause I'm used to super light headphones from Sony, for example Audize ones are double the weight.
I was in the exact same situation as you. I almost started going crazy cause I couldn't find an ideal solution. I didn't want an alien looking headset which is a common trope with gaming headsets. I also didn't want to hassle with a audiophile headphones + dongles/adapters/third party boom mics. There are always issues. For example when I use xm5 wired they don't turn off unless i plug them out or press the button. Which means in the morning i'm welcomed by an empty battery cause i forget to unplug it. I went with the Sony INZONE H9 II (2) because they are the most light-weight and comfy headset that ticks other boxes such as great passive noise isolation + ANC (can be turned off).
Sony INZONE H9 II. I had the v1 and upgraded to v2 when they recently released. Excellent audio and build quality.
I just got the new-ish Sony gaming headset (INZONE h9 II) and so far I’m digging them. Noise cancelling and mic sound isolation are great. They’re on the pricey side though. I think in general a lot of gaming headsets look fine for work calls nowadays.
Audio Through 2.4Ghz Dongle sounds noticeably worse than Bluetooth Hi guys, I just got a new pair of headphones for playing video games (Inzone H9 II). They support Bluetooth (SBC and AAC) and also have a 2.4Ghz dongle for low latency gaming (16Bit-48000hz). The thing is, I've noticed they sound worse through the dongle (2.4 Ghz) as opposed to Bluetooth (AAC). It sounds a little muffled and lowere resolution, whereas through Bluetooth it sounds clear and clean. From what I read online, 2.4Ghz wireless audio should sound better than Bluetooth, or am I wrong? I've also had this issue with the previous version (Inzone H9) but didn't bother investigating. My PC is positioned exactly on the other side of a wall where the microwave is, and I thought that may be interfering but would it also interfere when not in use? I haven't tried going somewhere else. I've scrambled around settings like if there was freaking gold but found nothing. I'm all open for help and suggestions.
I got Inzone H9 II for my birthday this year and in single player games the audio is... unbelievable. Ghost of Yotei in particular was insanely immersive!
I've been on a quest to find a replacement for my Maxwell's. Here are the headphones I've tried. Listed in the order of my preference.. I play a lot of FPS so footsteps are very important. I play on a PS5 Pro and also have an Xbox and a Switch 2. 1. Nova Elite (expensive but the best overall IMO) 2. Nova 7P 2nd gen (not as great sounding as the Elite but close enough for the price) 3. Inzone H9 II (footsteps are inconsistent) 4. Fractal Design Scape (sound okay for FPS) I decided to stick with the Elite. Yes they are VERY pricy and might be out of most peoples budget. If they are, and you play a lot of FPS, I'd say the Nova 7 2nd gen are a killer option for $200.. For the comfort, I'd rank them as follows: 1. Nova 7 2nd gen 2. Inzone H9 II 3. Fractal Scape 4. Nova Elite (they have a lot of initial clamping force) An underrated non gaming headset to consider if you don't mind plugging into controller are the Sennheiser HD599 with their new BAM mic.. Stellar sound, very comfortable and the mic is good.. For FPS footsteps they are very good... Also consider the Drop PC38X if you don't min plugging into controller. I'd personally go for the HD599 and BAM mic over them though.
My Maxwells recently died after a couple years, and I picked up the Sony Inzone H9 IIs. They are by far the best headset I've ever used in every way. The drivers make a ton of bass but never feel too muddy and always stay clear. Active noise cancelation is incredible, and the mic is great quality. They have very very low latency which is a big thing now too. The only downside is the battery life, but they recharge VERY fast. Perhaps the best feature though is their flexibility. They have their own 7.1 channel surround sound that is very legit. HOWEVER, there is a switch on the dongle that turns it into a regular 2 channel headset. This means you can use DTS or Dolby Atmos surround effects by downloading the effects from the Windows store. I constantly run them using DTS and they sounds incredible for every game. Every surround mode sounds great through this headset, so you have amazing flexibility with these. Note: I tried the Razer Blackshark V3 Pros right before the Inzone, and while the Razers were good they really don't compare at all to the Inzones, way better sound quality and the mic and other features are slightly better. Good luck on your quest!
Inzone h9 ii or Sony theater u+dongle.
Sony h9's are fully integrated(when you adjust the volume you'll see the volume level on screen), have noise canceling, and the battery lasts forever. Oh, and they're comfortable and wireless.
I'm currently at 15mm still wearing my single flares that I used to stretch (so they take up a ton of room) and my Sony inzone H9 headset provides a ton of room around the ear to the point that even just after a fresh stretch I don't feel a thing.
