this is gonna sound crazy but bear with me lol the sony inzone h9 gen 1. the gen 2 are out now. the gen 1 retailed for 300. they work with pc or ps5 via a dongle. they even have active noise cancellation which is very uncommon on a gaming headset. BUT they have a known cosmetic defect. after a little while, the leather on the top headband starts to come undone, exposing the little foam pad underneath. it’s completely cosmetic and amazon sells covers for it for a quick fix for like 15 bucks. SO with that being said, you can get a pair on ebay with the defect starting to show or the leather piece completely off for like 50 bucks give or take. slap a cover on it and you’ve got a noise cancelling headset that works seamlessly with ps5 or pc. it even has bluetooth so you can play music and the game audio at the same time. just make sure the one you get includes the dongle. imo, this is the best bang for your buck headset you can get right now.
Been using the Sony MDR MV1s with the Fosi Audio K7 DAC - never going back to Sony H9s
Volume wheel problem is very annoying, as it can suddenly get very loud. As for peeling, I own quite a few Sony headphones, and almost every one of them have peeling issues. It wouldn’t be a problem if you could change cushions yourself on H7/9, but it’s not that easy. And I am not alone with this issue. https://www.reddit.com/r/sony/comments/x1zoax/anyone_else_having_issues_with_sony_h7h9_quality/
I am using Sony Inzone H9 II (big improvements compared to H9) on the PS5 Pro / PC. Great headset, very light and comfortable, you can EQ on the PS5 Pro by using SoundConnect app on the phone. I also have Arctis Nova Pro Wireless and the Inzone H9 II are much better Pulse Elite have QC issues (see amazon reviews, reddit etc) Audeze Maxwell are too heavy (since you asked for long gaming sessions) The rest I don't know
I have the Pulse Elite & the Inzone H9 (v1) and the Inzones are GOAT IMHO.
Ive own pulse elite and inzone. Elite is good . But i wouldnt recommend. They are known for breaking.. i really like them but will not recommend. Had them for a year Ive also owned inzone 9 and have had them for 4 years i believe. Only problem w these is that the head rest cushion wears out. But i bought a cover that goes over it and works really well. I would 100% recommend these. Never had problems and sound is really good. I plqy mostly shooters and single player rpg
