I got and returned the 109 Pro after few weeks. They are super comfortable, nice sounding and that is it. They are nice they didn't do much for me no complaints it just OK. I found my self going back more and more to my older Arya Stealth and 6xx. Obviously everyone is different but I think under $1000 there is much better at least objectively better headphones and you can listen to them first. Focal Clear, Arya Stealth, LCD-2C (used) I would even throw in 660S2. All these to me sounded better than 109 Pro.

Audeze is even better. Had A pair of open back for at least 10 years. They are good NG to cost you $800+, but they work just like the day I pulled them out the box.

Planars have great bass response and sound clearer to my ears than 'most' dynamics I've tried or owned. Audeze particularly, have great tuning and really know how to present music with their huge 106mm drivers. You will not be disappointed. The transient sound/response, bass, and speed fits well with the music genres mentioned. Again, my Sony Z1R does everything well imo, but they are a very expensive dynamic headphone. I pick up my AKG 712, another dynamic, when I'm listening to YouTube, podcasts or watching music videos as they are just comfortable as hell and sound really good. When it's time to throw on Tidal or Qobuz on Roon, I pickup my Z1R or LCD-2 immediately. I have listened to or owned many headphones, amps/dacs over the years. I feel I have a pretty good grasp on what I like and will only try to recommend something I've personally listened to.
